Video from inside Syria …:

This is the most shocking video of our recent journey through Syria. I have never felt so depressed. The Syrian people are longing for peace. Regrettably, neither the government nor most of the rebel leaders do. So far 101.000 rebels, 105.000 soldiers of the government and 87.000 civilians have died. Over 120.000 casualties cannot be documented.* These numbers do demonstrate: The war is waged in a merciless manner, not just by one side only, but by both sides. Both sides are committing war-crimes. There is no decency in war. WAR is the ultimate crime. The Syrian people have a right to a political solution. And they are entitled to the Human Right of peace.

“You, Mr. Obama, and you, Mr. Putin, are the most powerful leaders in the world. Stop this gruesome war! You are the only ones, who can still do that. Peace in Syria is your goddamn duty and responsibility. Also, due to your massive involvement in this war.

In the end there is only one way to end this apocalyptic catastrophe: You, Mr. Obama, have to finally stop the supply of arms from the Gulf states to the rebels and terrorists. And the arms supply from your own country. In return, you, Mr. Putin, have to stop all bombings. And demand from Assad’s government that the constitution of Syria has to be altered to the effect that the winner of the next presidential election is allowed to rule for one legislative period only. This would allow for a constitutional and a peaceful change of government.

Is this fair? This question is justified. However, the most unjust peace is better than a just war. (Cicero.) In the name of humanity and the Syrian people, I beg you: Stop the killing in Syria. This conflict will not be resolved with the delivery of more weapons, bombs and rockets – whoever supplies them. A profoundly distressed JT” ( * Source for Casualties: Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.)
