Refusing to stay silent, hundreds of Muslim women came forward on Monday in response to Donald Trump’s attacks on Ghazala Khan, the Gold Star mother of a Muslim-American soldier who died in Iraq.

Trump remarked about Khan’s silence during her husband’s speech at the Democratic National Convention, insinuating that she had remained silent because she was not allowed to speak as a Muslim woman.
