Ahmadis in Canada should be celebrating July 1, Canada Day more than Aug 14. They were persecuted in their former homeland, their mosques destroyed, their properties confiscated, their prominent members assassinated, many are of them are still in languishing in Pakistani jails, many are living in miserable conditions in sri lanka, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia and Australia. Those who arrived in Canada are lucky ones, they should try to settle and do go things in their adopted country. Canada zindabad
Well, it is a bit ironic to celebrate Pakistan day in the Ahmadiyya Mosque, as it Pakistan the Ahmadiyya mosques are not even permitted to be called mosques. Moreover most of the Pakistanis attending the function may be Pakistanis ‘at heart’, but in fact had to leave their dear fatherland …
But both of you forget majority of Ahmadies in Canada stem from Pakistan. So if in addition to Canada day they are given chance to have this event why not to avail it. Remembering the roots is an important thing and Ahmadies should do it.
