Lajna Ima’illah (Womens Auxiliary of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community) Shimoga hosts a Successful Women led “Interfaith Conference on Peace”

Shimoga, May 30, 2015:
Alhamdolilliah, Saturday the 30th of May was graced with flavours of different faiths in shimoga speaking the anthem of peace for women by their respective religions.
The Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at’s Women’s Auxiliary Lajna Imaillah Shimoga [Karnataka, India] hosted a Successful Women led “Interfaith Conference on Peace” on 30th May 2015 at Ambedkar Bhavan Shimoga, Karnataka, India.
Having their (Lajna Imaillah’s) Part of annual programm (Tableeghi Ijlas) the Interfaith “conference on peace” was planned. The office bearers of Lajna Imaillah with the cooperation of Local Jamaath started preparations a month prior to the event – all office bearers were given certain responsibilities to fulfill in order to have the event become a success.
The venue Ambedkar Bhavan was decided for the event as it was one of the famous Auditorium of the city and was administered by the district administration.
30th May was the Date give by the Deputy Commissioner of Shimoga.
The program as planned started at 03:00 Pm in afternoon on Saturday the 30th May 2015.
A day before all the needed things were gathered at Masjid Ahmadiyya’s Library Hall by all the volunteers and in the morning all the things were transported and arrangements were begun from morning including the setting of banners and stage , projector, tv etc… all the tasks were completed by the coordination of all departments smoothly, Al’humdulillah
The Guests at the event were:
- Mrs Sharada Poorya Naik (Member of Legislative Assembly, for Rural Shimoga),
- Mrs Amtul Hafeez (District President Lajna Imaillah Shimoga),
- Mrs Sharada Gopal speaker for Hinduism,
- Mrs Elizabeth Satya Babu Speaker for Christianity,
- Mrs Jagadish Kaur Speaker for Sikkhism,
- Mrs Poornima Ashok Speaker for Jainism,
- Mrs Raziya Shariff & Mrs Shafiqa Sulthana as speakers for Islam
The event started by the Recitation of The Holy Qura’an followed by the Urdu and Kannada Translation by.
A poem (naat) praising The Holy Prophet S.A.W was sung by the Nasirath.
The chief guest Mrs Sharada Poorya Naik (M.L.A) addressed the event and expressed that everyone in the world should adopt humanity from their respective religion in their lives and appreciated the Women’s wing of Ahmadiyya Jamaat’s work.
In order to build peace one should respect each other’s feelings and should give up violence said another guest speaker from Hinduism Mrs Sharada Gopal.
Mrs Jagadish Kaur from Sikhism said “I was exicited to know that the Muslim Women have organized such a noble event and spoke about Sikhism”.
Mrs Poornima Ashok spoke about peace in Jainism .
Mrs Shubha Kerlkar presented the teachings of Bhagawat Geetha and Hinduism.
Mrs Shafeeqa Sulthana Spoke about the Rights of Women in Islam.
Mrs Elizabeth Satya Babu said one should Love and Respect others as we do to ourselves and all should exhibit patience in order to bring peace and spoke about peace from Christianity.
Mrs Raziya Shariff spoked about the role of women in islam in Kannada.
Mohtarama Amtul Hafeez presented the excellent behavior of The Holy Prophet of Islam.
The Chair Persom Mohtarama Hajira Mansoora spoke at last and said that one should love their Motherland and respect all faiths as its been taught in Islam only then it is possible to build a strong nation.
The vote of thanks and Momentos to guests were delivered by Mohtarama Amtul Raheem Mazhar and this followed silent prayer led by the chairperson Mohtarama Syeda Hajira Mansoora.
There was The Holy Quran Exhibition of about 33 Different Languages and a stall of free leaflets & books as well.
3 News channels covered the footage of event and the newspaper reporters from local and regional covered the news and appreciated the noble event and said this type of events should happen continuously in order to have peace in the country.
Indeed this event was a huge success and praised by all.
