Even though some politicians claim America is a “Christian nation,” the share of the population that identifies as Christian has declined significantly in recent years.
New statistics from the Pew Research Center show that between 2007 and 2014, the number of Americans who identify as Christian dropped by nearly eight percentage points, from 78.4 percent to 70.6 percent.
At the same time, Pew’s 2014 U.S. Religious Landscape Study found that the number of people who are religiously unaffiliated — either atheist, agnostic or simply “nothing in particular” — has grown by more than six percentage points, from 16.1 percent in 2007 to 22.8 percent in 2014.
There are now approximately 56 million religiously unaffiliated adults living in America, according to the study, which is a follow-up to a similar study conducted in 2007. The “nones,” as they are known, are more numerous than either Catholics or mainline Protestants, and second only to evangelical Protestants.

If the Atheists and the Christians Debate, Islam Wins!
The Pew study is sobering for the religious leaders. All religions are decreasing in the USA except Islam and Hindus. The reason for their growth is not conversion. It is migration and births. The real growth is among those who can be called Atheist or agnostics. Even without religion, USA is making progress. The society is peaceful, justice is available to all, economic opportunity still exists. None of the nightmare scenarios exists which the religious leaders are so fond of describing in their sermons. So it is time that the religious leaders should worry about their own Faith. You are becoming irrelevant.
According to the Holy Quran, all children are born Muslims, it is their parents who make them Jew, Christian or others. This is one of the many reasons why now western peoples are reverting to Islam on their own free will. Through out the history, Muslims never forced non-Muslims to accept Islam. This is the main reason why Muslims lost Spain and India.
The beauty of Islam is that it is a religion which appeals to common sense. There is no blind belief or dogmatism in Islam. The fundamentals of Islam are simple, straightforward and easy to understand.
If Islam is so bad, then why is it the WORLD’S FASTEST GROWING RELIGION! It is also one of the youngest religions. However no matter how hard everyone tries to give Islam a bad name, it will be twice as more populated. So let’s get straight to the point yeah?, Basically Islam is the most hated religion I don’t know why hmm maybe because it is also the most fastest growing religion and 2nd largest but no one will be able to stop this religion from growing.
Islam is the fastest growing faith in Britain. Hundreds and thousands of Brits are reverting to Islam. By the middle of this century, over half of Brits would be Muslims.

If we look at the graphs again, what is noticeable is that the “religiousity” of the American Mind, from the “Silent generation” to the “millenium generation”, decreased in proportion to the “decrease” of the “atheist” threat from ex-Soviet Union. While “religiousity” and “atheism” interacted during the last century, the human mindset has slowly aligned itself to the “Universal Morality” of “Human Nature” and is in the process of shuffling off the “labels” or “brand names” of different “religions”. This phenomenon is only happening in the USA and in no other country. (And lets not forget that after 1990 USA is the leader of Mankind in every field, including questioning “irrational beliefs” of various religions and trying to find answers to those questions. That way USA is also the trend setter of human thought.)
This coming to rest of the “pendulum of human thought” momentarily, at a point of “Universal Morality” is the pre-requisite for the next stage of evolution, when Human Species will be required to undertake space journeys. Beyond that point, “Universal Morality” will be the standard in our space journeys, irrespective of the brand names on planet earth.
The rules governing in a space craft will not be branded as “Islamic” or “Christian” or “Atheist” or “Hindu”; neither will they colour and creed specific. The “rules of conduct” will be like a new “religion” and so would be the rituals if any.
The earlier names :Astronaut or a Cosmonaut or Islamonaut etc will be replaced by the species name, perhaps a “Humanaut”. That name will convey the common value system of the Human Species.
