  1. Zia,
What is the story here? I want to know since I have no time to watch any video.
If there is merit to you in what the video portrays, then bring it out for discussion.

  2. AA Zia bhai,

You should definitely find the time to watch this documentary. It reveals the triumph of the early Muslim conquests into Spain and the contribution of Muslim scholars. It debunks the traditional view that Muslims bloodily conquered and converted Spain. Instead, it argues that Muslims were actually welcomed in Southern Spain where they first landed since the Visigothic culture was already in collapse. So the Arab conquerers were not viewed as “marauding destroyers” but “saviours” – this has been verified through modern archeological research! It also looks at the incredible architecture of the Al-Hambra in Granada and the genius of the early Muslim architects in creating a structure based on a single ratio which contributes to its harmonious atmosphere. Further, some prominent families of Spain are finding out that their great ancestors, who are revered in Spain’s history now, were actually Muslim. So people in Spain are re-examining their ancestral history and rewriting a new narrative. A refreshing look at a lost history. This particular documentary specifically also traces Spain’s success to the origins of Islam and credits Islam’s view on education and knowledge to the successful society created in Spain.
