WASHINGTON (WNEW/CBSNEWS/AP) – Thousands of people gathered in D.C. Sunday afternoon in memory of the 17 victims of the terrorist attacks that took place in France last week.

The Embassy of France organized the march, which began at the Newseum at 2 p.m. and ended at the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial. The French Embassy says around 3,000 people participated.

Supporters included the Ahmadiyya Muslim Youth Association, which offered condolences to Araud.
