By the grace of Allah the Almighty, 27th Jalsa Salana Singapore had successfully concluded yesterday.
Masjid Taha, situated on Joo Chiat Road in the east part of Singapore, which is known for its multicultural heritage, was the venue for this annual convention. The Jalsa Gah included MTA studio, VIP marquees, first aid facilities and a homeopathic dispensary.
The final day of Jalsa Salana’s attendance figure was 388, out of which 367 were Ahmadi Muslims from South East Asian region.
Maulana Abdul Basit, Ameer Jamaat Indonesia, chaired the first session on 5th December 2014. Following the special message from Hadhrat Khalifatul Mesih V (atba), two speeches were delivered in Bahasa Indonesian language in this session the subjects of which were:
“The concept of Bai’at in Islam and responsibilities of an Ahmadi” by Maulana Nurhadi
“The importance and blessings of spending in the way of Allah” by Maulana Habib Ahmad Berlin.
Both speakers are the prominent missionaries of Jamaat Ahmadiyya Indonesia where Ahmadis are categorically discriminated and even persecuted.
On 6th December 2014 (Saturday), the second session was held and chaired by Maulana Ainul Yakin, Missionary in-charge of Malaysia and Markaz representative. The session included two speeches in Malay language where Maulana Masroor Ahmad of Jamaat Ahmadiyya Malaysia enlightened the audience with the topic “The Need of Imam Mahdi in the reformation of Islam and unification of religions” and the other topic “The Ahmadiyya Khilafat – Its characteristics and truthfulness” was knowledgeably presented by Maulana Salahuddin of Jamaat Ahmadiyya Malaysia.
Maulana Musa Masran, a prominent Missionary of Jamaat Malaysia in the rainy Saturday afternoon of 6th December, chaired the third session of the Jalsa. The audience was spiritually engaged by two speeches in English language. The first speech “The concept of one true God in Islam” was delivered by Ataul Qudus Sahib, Mualim, Jamaat Ahmadiyya Singapore. Thereafter, Abdul Halim Sahib, Vice President of Jamaat Ahmadiyya Singapore, presented the second speech titled “Holy Quran – True word of God”.
Abdul Aziz Sahib, President of Jamaat Ahmadiyya Singapore, chaired the final session. During the session, two speeches were delivered. The first was on the topic of “The Holy Prophet Muhammad (sa), the Seal of the Prophets and a mercy for mankind” was eloquently delivered by Maulana Hasan Basri, Missionary in-charge of Jamaat Ahmadiyya Singapore in Malay language. And it was followed by the second speech titled “Ahmadiyya Jamaat’s contribution to social justice and world peace” inspirationally discussed by Ayaz Ahmad Sahib, Regional President of Jamaat Ahmadiyya Singapore.
A couple of dignitaries who attended the last day of Jalsa were given the opportunity to address the audience just before the concluding the session.
Mr. Peter Lee of Global Outstanding Chinese 100 Organisation, Singapore gave a few words to the audience. Mr. Lee also attended the international Jalsa Salana of UK 2014 and spoke to the audience on behalf of his chairman, Mr. Lee Khoon Choy who was a prominent politician and member of the first five parliament of Singapore. A representative from the Ministry of Culture and Religion of Cambodia addressed to the audience of her experience of attending Jalsa in Cambodian Language.
Some Ahmadi delegates from foreign countries also expressed their joy during the blessed three-day in their addresses to the audience.
Prior to concluding speech of Markaz representative, Maulana Ainul Yakin, the final report of the Jalsa Salana was read by Syed Hafeez Sahib, the officer Jalsa Salana.
Simultaneous interpretation in both Malay and English languages were available during the speeches.
So, Al’humdulillah the 27th Jalsa Salana Singapore concluded successfully and peacefully with the silence prayer led by Maulana Ainul Yakin after his dignifying speech.
