Building Bridges in Barrie Ontario- 4
On Saturday November 8 2014. Ahmadiyya Muslim Community of Barrie will show case a Peace & Harmony Rally at the local City Halll at 70 Collier St, Barrie, ON L4M 4Z2 from 2-3pm.
The purpose of this rally is to pay tribute to and support the brave soldiers Warrant Officer Patrice Vincent and Cpl. Nathan Cirillo and their families. It is to demonstrate that Islam promote love and peace for all mankind and few so-called Muslims do not represent Islam. In fact they have defaced the true and peaceful teachings of Islam.
Ahmadiyya Muslim Community rejects and condemns this evil act of terrorism in the name of Islam. According to the Holy Qur’an, killing of an innocent life is like killing all mankind (5:33). According to the Prophet Muhammad (peace be on him) love of ones homeland is part of Muslim faith. There is no room for such heinous crimes to take place on our great beloved homeland, Canada.
Established about fifty years ago in Canada, Ahmadiyya Muslim Community have always practiced and promoted the peaceful teachings of Islam. It was for this reason that the Canada’s first ambassador for religious freedom was named by Prime Minister Stephen Harper himself in Ahmadiyya Mosque in Maple, ON in 2013.
