Getting away with murder: When Israel killed American sailors with impunity

Al Jazeera Airing Documentary on USS Liberty

What we have been told is an excellent documentary on Israel’s 1967 attack on the USS Liberty is airing Friday and Saturday on Al Jazeera America (check your local cable channel listings or visit http://america.aljazeera.com). Called “The Day Israel Attacked America,” it was produced by British filmmaker Richard Belfield, who wrote on the Al Jazeera website:

“The veterans were extraordinary. One after another, they were generous with their time, uniformly eloquent and passionate and above all, honest in their recollections.

“They all felt betrayed by the American government but were keen to exonerate ordinary Jewish people both in Israel and without, for any responsibility for the incident. Their beef was simply with the senior Israeli officers in the control room and their superiors higher up the command chain who had ordered the attack.”

The one-hour film will be aired at the following times on the East Coast:

Fri., Oct. 31: 10 p.m.
Sat., Nov. 1: 1 a.m. and 4 a.m.

  1. Cool A must see….
Good Documentary, covers all the important points. There is still a lot more to the story. More people than the ones they named were involved.
Although this is an old story, you still run into people that never heard of it. I have even ran into people that just flat don’t believe it, regardless the facts you throw at them.

People who support Israel are pathological, they really do suffer from a myopic type of psychosis that doesn’t permit them to see or hear anything that contradicts their brainwashing.

More and more media personalities like radio talk show host, won’t even waste their time talking to these looney toons.

MAYBE, this film will help, but I won’t hold my breath.
