Over 120 Islamic scholars from around the world, many of them leading Muslim voices in countries like Egypt & Saudia Arabia have issued an open letter denouncing Islamic State militants and refuting their religious arguments. The 22-page letter, written in Arabic and heavy with quotes from the Quran and other Islamic sources not only denounces Islamic State militants but also resolves another key issue in the Muslim World.
Since 1974, Ahmadis have been forcefully declared “non-Muslim” under Pakistani law and this mix of religion and state has lead to an increase in sectarian violence. Extremist religious groups in Pakistan, Bangladesh and Indonesia have used the non-muslim label to ruthlessly attack Ahmadis. The religious ruling as to who is Muslim and who is not has also claimed lives of Shia believers, In Pakistan over 1,000 Shias Muslims from minority Hazara community have been killed in the last decade. But the Muslim leaders who endorsed the “Open Letter to Al-BaghdadI” plan to change all that, Point number 9 of the letter states:
It is forbidden in Islam to declare people non-Muslim unless he (or she) openly declares disbelief.a. Quintessentially in Islam, anyone who says: ‘There is no god but God; Muhammad is the Messenger of God’ is a Muslim and cannot be declared a non-Muslim. God says: ‘O you who believe, when you are going forth in the way of God, be discriminating and do not say to him who offers you peace: ‘You are not a believer, desiring the transient goods of the life of this world. With God are plenteous spoils. So you were formerly, but God has been gracious to you. So be discriminating. Surely God is ever Aware of what you do.’ (Al-Nisa’, 4: 94). The meaning of ‘be discriminating’ in the above verse is to ask them: ‘Are you Muslims?’ The answer is to be taken at face-value without questioning or testing their faith.

If yes then it is clearly stated in that Kalma that “”(There is) none worthy of worship except Allah. Muhammad(sal-allahu-alayhi-waallyhi-wsalum) is the Messenger of ALLAH.” and in Quran Shareef it is stated that “MAA KAANA MUHAMMADUN ABAA AHADIN MIRRIJAALIKUM WALAAKIN RASOOLALLAHI WA KHATAMAN NABIYYEEN…” (The Holy Quran, Para 22, Chapter 33;aya 40),, Translation “Muhammad is not the father of any of your men, but he is the Messenger of Allah and the Seal of the Prophets; and Allah has full knowledge of all things.” so This verse fully explained that Muhammad S.A.W.W is the Last Prophet Of Almighty Allah. If someone obeys Almight Allah but doesn’t obey Hazrat Muhammad S.A.W.W ,it means that he is not fulfilling the second condition of Kalma Taiba,and he’s like christian and jewish people who believe in Allah but don’t obey Hazart Muhammad S..A.W.W.,,, AHMADI’S believe in Allah but not ready to follow Hazrat Muhammad S.A.W.W,,so they’re not muslim,,and they’ve no right to call their selves as Muslims…….I think it is enough explanation
Jamal: Please keep reading The Muslim Times. I think you will find sufficient explanation of the Ahmadiyya interpretation of ‘Seal of the Prophets’. For now I just leave you with this Hadith: Usama bin Zaid was sent in an expedition, he spoke about one man in the battlefield, he said:
“… I saw one of them, he said “laa ilaaha illallah”. I stabbed him, and after that I felt bad and so told Muhammad (saw) what I did. The Prophet (saw) asked: “did he say laa ilaha illallah, and you killed him?” I said: “He said it, but only out of fear for my sword.” He (saw) asked “did you check his heart to see if he believed it?” he kept on repeating that question until I wished that I was not Muslim yet until that day.” [Muslim V-2 P-107]
But according to this hadith he recites kalima no one is god but Allah and the mohammad (s.w) is the messenger of Allah , seal of the prophet . if any one declare another prophet besides the mohammad(s.w) , then he commited major sin and those people take themself away from Islam . after this decleration they become khawarij ( which is also eqalled to kufur) so decide yourself what are you a muslim or kufir or khuwariji
These so called muslim scholars are very confused. They keep on making contradictory statements, especially those trained in Pakistan. They shot themselves in the foot on September 7th 1974.
They are the same ulemas who on one hand, say that there cannot be a prophet after the greatest of all prophets(saw), but on the other hand they are impatiently waiting for the prophet of Israel to return.
They are the same ulemas who on the one hand believe in ” laa iqrahaa fid deen” but on the other hand they are very proud of their achievement of forcing the Ahmadi Muslims “out of the pale of Islam”.
Nobody knows when they are serious and when they are trying to mislead.
There are so many other matters involved. I have not seen the full report. I hope the full 22 page is shown with the original signatures of the signatories. Then we may understand and believe in it.
The matter is quite good in the right direction. Only if it was true, it is a step in the right direction. It is a small step but it is good. Still it needs much courage in the face of much opposition. The ignorance that has been spread for many years cannot be removed in a short time.
Jamal sahib should heed the advice of Br. Rafiq sahib. There is much to learn. I present a few points.
1. It is always necessary to listen to both sides before deciding any matter. The anti-Ahmadiyah people want that nobody should read (or even touch) the books of the ahmadiyah teachings. Is it justified? Why not every maulvi tells every Muslim to read the books of Ahmadis and decide for themselves?
2. In the Quran, there is a verse “O believers, when you operate in the world, always seek out the truth and do not say to any one who pays Salaam to you that he is not Muslim…..”
The maulvis are not allowing any one to act on that Quranic advice.
3.There is no compulsion in the religion, that means any religion, there should be no compulsion.
What the maulvis are practicing about that? They are oppressing and killing and persecuting many people because of their faith.
4. The Khatam e nabuwwat is a difficult matter. These maulvis cannot understand simple matters. Or they understand it but they want to twist it for their own selfish reasons.
Allah did not say that prophet Muhammad s.a.w.s. was the “Aakhirun nabiyyeen”. Allah said “Khaatam an Nabiyyeen.” Aakhir is also an Arabic world. Allah did not use that.
Many old time Muslim scholars had given their opinion that the prophet s.a.w.s. is the last law bearing prophet. Ahmadis believe that. Ahmadis recite the Kalimah. They pray five times a day facing the Qiblah ka’abah.
These khatam e nabuwwat people are playing in the hands of some enemies. They may be paid agents. Muslims need to be careful.
Every Muslim should go to the bottom of the khatam e nabuwwat matter and see what the old time scholars, Mohayuddin ibne Akbar wrote about it. What did Mulla ali Qari (hanfi) say about it? What was the decision of Shah Waliullah Dehlavi rh.a. and the teaching of Muhammad qasim Nanotavi rh.a.?
The maulvis do not want the poor Muslims to find out the truth about Khaatam an Nabiyyeen.
Just to say that Muhammad s.a.w.s. is the last prophet and Isa ibne Maryam is still alive and Muhammad is dead and buried underground but Isa ibne Maryam is alive and in the heavens….. That is all a false teaching. According to Quran and Hadith, Isa ibne Maryam is not alive. So he is never coming back. Let all Muslims know about that please.

The whole point of religion is to “REMIND” all humankind of what Allah (God) has created in the human soul, which can be summed up in one word, ONE! Meaning, an awareness of the oneness of God, and the Oneness of Humankind. The Qur’an’s recurring message: Salaat & Zakaat (prayer and charity), reverence for the One God and service to one human family. That is Islam in a nutshell, and that is following in the footsteps of the Messenger. That is why the Qur’an gives permission even to marry Christians and Jews if they believe in the One God, and the Last Day, meaning that if they are essentially good people with a conscience for their own actions. If you are Muslim, then you know that this is all in the Qur’an. So if the Qur’an will advise us to sit and eat with, or even to marry those Christians and Jews who are no threat to Muslims, then surely the Sunni, Shia, Ahmadi, etc. can show humanity to one another, and after that, discuss whatever religious differences in a scholarly and fraternal way. Moreover, The Qur’an warns us against making the same mistakes as the Christians and Jews, as in splitting up into sects and groups thereby defiling the religion with hatreds and disunity. So if so-called “Muslims” will stop shaming and disgracing us all by committing wanton violence against one another including women & children and non-combatants, then maybe someone will be able to explain to me who the real Muslims are. Muslims are charged by God to invite people to Islam. So if a non-Muslim (whoever you conceive it to be) will not feel safe to knock on the front door of your mosque for dialogue, then how is that Islam?
This is all fine, however unfortunately when it comes to Ahmadiyyat, all the truth, logic, common sense, even the Quranic injunctions and Ahadith go out of the window. All these so called scholars of the east and the scholars of the west join hands to exclude Ahmadis out of the pale of Islam. They just don’t want to listen to any reason. “Summun bukmun umyun fahum laa yarji’oon”, They are deaf, dumb and blind so they return not (to the right path). Surah al- Baqarah 18. However one day Inshallah Taalah the truth is bound to prevail as God Almighty has decreed: “It is I and My messengers who must prevail”. Surah al Mujadalah 22.
Those opponents of Ahmadis are defying many direct commands of the Quran. I need not present any list of those commands. How can such people be called scholars? They know they are wrong.
The so-called Imams of the mosques do not guide poor Muslims to peaceful living, rather they incite them to violence!
Now, even Saudi Arabian Mullas are trying to preach against violent Jihad.

The Holy Quran Says, “Let him die, who died by the dint of argument and Let him Live, who Live by the dint of Argument” On another place the Holy Quran says, “ھا تو بر ھا نککم انکنتم صا دقین” Bring your Argument, if you are truthful.
For the sake of Argument, if Admitted, as you say that Ahmadies believe only in the first part of kalmah and disobedient to the second part, then however,:-
The infidels did not imposed war on Muslims, because of the second part of the Kalmah, It was because of the First part of Kalmah tayyab, that is why the Holy Prophet Muhammad (p.b.u.h.)said,”من قال لا الہ الا اللہ دخلل جنۃ” who said, there is but one God, entered into Paradise.
The Holy Quran says, “Don’t say, you are not Moumin, who says salam to you.
Do you think all other Muslims are truly obedient to the Holy Prophet (p.b.u.h.) who are dishonest in their daily dealings with others, thieves, plungers, fornicators, dancers, and drunk???? according to your definition of Muslims they are not Muslims as they disobedient to the Holy Prophet?????
I appreciate that you translated Khatam as seal of the prophet and so we both agree on this meaning, but from where you have taken the meaning of ‘Seal’ as the Last Prophet?????
In hadith, however where the Holy Prophet Mohammad (p.b.u.h.) used the word of Last Prophet for himself at the same token, He has himself qualified the Last Prophet.
My dear I challenge you, what ever meanings of Khatam you will do, it is acceptable to us, but at the same token, I will prove that, it is we Ahmadies who are believing in those meanings and you and your other sect do not practically believe in them.
The Seal give its imprints, so the meaning you are giving to seal does not apply over here!!!!
Allah Himself qualify the meaning of Seal in the Holy Quran, may be next time I may shed light over them.
Ummul-Moumineen Hazrat Ayieshah (r.u.) said, “قولو انہ خا تم الم انبین و لا تقولو لا نبیہ بعد ہ ” say him Seal of Prophet, but do not say no prophet After him.
In the Saheeh Muslim, the Holy Prophet Mohammad (p.b.u.h.) called 4 times Eisa ibn Meryam as Nabiullah as he descend after him.
Many Akabreen Ummah define the Seal of Prophet exactly as Jama’at Ahmadiah Does, if they are disobedient to the Holy Prophet and so they are non Muslims according to you?????
The decision of the National Assembly of Pakistan in 1974 was purely on political ground and we have sufficient profs of it.

Respected Jamal Nasir sahib, Ahmadies DO believe that the Holy Prophet (pbuh) is ‘khatamannabiyyee’ (‘Seal of the Prophets’). But for sake of discussion, let’s just analyze your argument. You stated that kalimah is the basis of faith. Ahmadies believe in BOTH parts of the kalimah, that there is no god but Allah, and that Muhammad (pbuh) is his Messenger. In fact it is the non Ahmadi Muslims who are so hell bent against Ahmadis that some of them have changed the kalimah and read it as “There is no God but Allah; Muhammad (pubh) is his last phrophet’! Whereas these are NOT the words of the Holy Prophet (pbuh)or Quran.
Now, if you want to “interpret” and “infer” and “deduce” that belief in the prophethood of the Holy Prophet (s.a.w) includes “following him” (which Ahmadis do by the way), how many people who claim to believe in Allah ( based on first part of the Kalimah) actually follow the commandments of Allah Almighty???
The Holy Quran has resolved this very clearly. Even for those who are not practicing Muslims, NO ONE has the right to declare them non-Muslim according to Quran and Sunnah. The Quran says to say to them that you may very well call yourselves “Muslim” but do not call yourselves “Momin” (true believing, practicing Muslim).

Prejudice against Ahmadis is so extreme that Muslim scholars have no hesitation to blatantly go against both Quran and Sunnah just to declare Ahmadis non-Muslim.

It appears that Jamal is not an Arab. So Jamal Nasir does not know much Arabic. Zarif Ahmad has explained it very well. Obedience of Allah is not different from the obedience of Muhammad s.a.w.s.
It’s only ALLAH that makes someone muslim and not consesus of people.Truth is bound to prevail.
Further news for jamal nasir, the prophet s.a.w.s. told THE SAHABAH by an oath of Allah that Messiah will arrive amongst them. He stressed that news very much and told that Messiah will break the cross and kill the swine.
It is also well known that the Messiah will kill the Dajjal. Every one knows who is the Dajjal. Dajjal is very much here so the Messiah must also be here (or his representatives).
“Unnless they openly express disbelief”. Well, there you have it dear Ahmadis. Keep dreaming.
Violence against Ahmadis in Pakistan did not start in 1974. The laws declaring you kafir have no impact. You would have been persecuted anyway.
