Majlis Ansarullah UK has been sponsoring Gift of Sight Project of Humanity First since2010.

It has raised and donated £320000 in total for this project through Annual Charity Walks.

This project restores eye sight through performing cataract operations in Burkina Faso and Sub Saharan Africa through Humanity First, helping the less privileged, regardless of race religion or creed. Each operation costs around £30-35 and numerous heart moving stories have surfaced since in which mothers or fathers have been able to see their children for the first time in their lives. Today a special function was held in Baitul Futuh Mosque, Morden Surrey, chaired by National President of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, UK, Rafiq Ahmad Hayat and attended by a large number of esteemed overseas delegates. 

Rafiq Ahmad Hayat presented a cheque of £130000 on behalf of Majlis Ansarullah UK to Humanity First. He lauded the charity fund raising efforts of Majlis Ansarullah UK and told the audience that Majlis Ansarullah UK have raised over £340000 through this year’s Charity Walk which has been donated to 28 UK based Charities.

Sadr Majlis Ansarullah UK Ch Waseem Ahmed thanked the Ansar for their untiring efforts in raising funds for various charities through the Annual Charity Walk.
