Islamic militants losing ground in Iraq under fire from US forces have threatened to launch terrorist attacks on American soil in revenge.

Yes, and no one else in the Arab world, most of all Egypt, really wants anything to do with Hamas – Your “Gazans”, either. Gaza had the opportunity to become the Singapore of the Middle east… but, no. They are dedicated to the destruction of Israel and have reaped what they have sown. The people elected Hamas. They now have to live with what Hamas has wrought.
Additionally, what has the PA done with the billions (yes, billions) of US dollars that has been donated to them over the years? There will never be peace in Gaza until Hamas is no longer in control – only more destruction – of Gaza.
What needs to be done in Gaza is to let them live like everyone else. Tunnels? Why the hell are there so many tunnels? The answer should be simple: Because there is a blockade. Remove the blockade and no tunnels will be needed. Have normal border posts and security and customs post will also be normal. Billions of dollars donated? Why the hell are donations needed? Let the Gazans work and trade like everyone else and let them donate instead of receiving donations!!!!
I think that the Israelis (and to some degree, the Egyptians) would be more than happy to lift the blockade/open the borders and see the Gazans work and prosper if Hamas would stop attacking Israel! It’s said that Hamas attacks Israel because of the blockade when, in fact, the blockade is there to keep more weapons out of Gaza. Tunnels? What of all the tunnels from Gaza into Israel? What purpose do they have? Answer that. Hamas must realize the ‘fait accompli’ that Israel isn’t going to disappear and they are not going to ever defeat them.
Stop attacking, make peace, go to work. It’s as simple as that.
