30 Palestinians killed and dozens of injuries as Israel continue its ground invasion of Gaza

PNN’s correspondent in Gaza, Hassan Dohan, reports that the Israeli Occupation Forces raided several border areas last night, entering the Strip from the eastern and northern borders. The Israeli army attacked Gaza by land , sea and air. They targeted several residential areas, killing 30 Palestinians and injuring dozens. In many occasions, the ambulance crews were not allowed to assist those injured and they were even attacked themselves.

The Israeli Occupation Forces entered all the way to the east of Khan Younis, where they were stopped by the resistance 800 meters away from the city. In Rafah the Israeli army was deployed in different agricultural lands near Rafah. In this city, the attacks came by air, land and sea, as Israeli airplanes, warships and tanks all targeted Rafah and its surroundings.

Saleh Zaeadi, 20, and Alaa Abu-Shabat, 23, were killed shortly before when Israeli tanks opened fire in the airport area in Rafah. Their bodies have been transferred to the Abu-Yusuf Al-Najjar hospital in the city.

Medical sources report that Ahmad Abdallah al-Behnsawi, 25, was killed by Israeli shelling in Beit Lahiya.

Before that, around noon, three children have been killed in an Israeli tank attack that targeted the Al-Nada building in Beit Hanoun, north of the Gaza strip. The bodies of Ahmad Ismail Abu Musallam, 14, his sister Alaa, 13, and their brother Muhammad, 15, were taken to Kamal Adwan hospital.

In Rafah, the most affected areas were the al-Shokeh village, the old and destroyed Gaza International airport and the Sofa crossing. Four Palestinians were killed.

Majdi Suleiman Jabara, 22, was killed when Israeli tanks opened fire against the residential homes surrounding the airport. One of the bombs hit the Jabara family home, killing Majdi and injuring four others.

Another attack, also in Rafah, killed Faris Juma’ al-Mahmoum, 5 months old, and seriously injured her mother. Omar ‘Eid al-Mahmoum, 18, and Salmiyya Suleiman Ghayyadh, 70, were killed in different attacks in Rafah and at least eleven other Palestinians were injured.

In the east of Gaza city, four Palestinians were killed in an Israeli tank attack that hit a home in Al-Shagaf area. The martyred were identified as Abed Ali Intaz, 26, Mohammad Salem Intaz, 4, and Mohammad Shadi Intaz, 15. Rani Saqer Abu Tawila, 30, was also killed in the Al-Shagaf neighborhood in a different attack, and seven of his family members were injured.

In Beit Hanoun, north of the Gaza Strip, the Israeli airstrikes attacked several areas, causing killing of four Palestinians. The martyred were identified as the brothers Nassim Mahmoud, 22 and Karam Mahmoud Nassier, 20, Amal Dabbour, 40, and Ismail Qassim, 59. Twenty-seven were injured in the different attacks by the Israeli Occupation Forces.

There is unconfirmed reports that another Palestinian has been killed also around noon in Beit Hanoun, in an Israeli tank attack that hit Um al-Nasier village.

In Khan Younis, south of the Gaza strip, ten Palestinians were killed in an Israeli attack that targeted a group of people in the Al-Zaneh area, east of Khan Younis. The martyred were identified as: Salah Al-Shafey, Hammad Abdul-Karim Abu Lehya, 23, Mahmoud Mohammad Fayyad, 25, Mohammad Abdul-Fattah Fayyad, 26, Monther Radwan, 22, Bilal Mahmoud Radwan, 23, the brothers Ahmad Fawzi Radwan, 23, and Mahmoud Fawzi Radwan, 24, Hani As’ad Shami, 35, and Mohammad Hamdan Abdul-Karim Shami, 35.

Husam Musallam Abu Issa, 26, was killed in an Israeli attack that hit Johor El-Deek area in Gaza city. His body was pulled from rubble this morning and it is believed he was killed in overnight attacks.

The spokesman of the Ministry of Health, Ashraf Al-Qidrah, reported that 264 were killed and more than 2000 were injured, several of them in serious condition, in the past 12 days of ongoing attacks on the Gaza Strip.

He also mentioned that the ambulance staff was facing difficulties to reach those injured and then to transfer them to the hospitals, because the Israeli army was attacking them and not allowing them to move from one place to another.

According to Al-Qidrah, Israel used a white poisons gas against the Palestinians in Gaza, which is illegal according to international law.

PNN’s correspondent reported that the Israeli tanks targeted the main sources of electricity, and out of ten power lines in the Strip, four went dark last night, leaving 80% of the residents of Gaza without electricity.

On the other hand, an Israeli soldier was killed and other seven were injured north of the Gaza Strip during clashes with the Palestinian resistance.

The Israeli media reported that the injured were transferred to the Barzilai Hospital in Ashkelon. Israeli medical sources reported that one of the injured soldiers is in serious condition and they have amputated the leg of another of the injured soldiers.

The Israeli Occupation Forces claimed this morning that they had attacked 140 targets in the Gaza Strip, including 6 major targets and killed 14 Palestinian members of the resistance.

  1. Anyway, same like in the last Lebanon / Israel war, when, besides bridges they also targeted a powder milk factory for baby formula. Even the bridges they targeted were not ‘to stop war supplies’. They knew there were none. If they wanted to stop all traffic why did they leave the older cheaper bridges? (for every bridge destroyed on the high way we had to get off the high way, go to the old road, pass the old bridge and go back to the high way. OK, it did take us a bit longer, but it would not have stopped any supplies, if that would have been the intention. The intention was just DESTROY DESTROY DESTROY and in the case of Lebanon they wanted to encourage Christian / Muslim discord, in which they failed… inspite of the great efforts of the international media, CNN etc…

  2. When rockets are fired at israel, who says anything???, Rockets that are fired at civilians. Do not look at this situation like someone wearing dark glasses. Your judgement will be tainted!!
