INDIA: Ahmadiyya Muslim Community Shimoga Hosts A Successful “Blood Donation Drive”

Invitation of Blood Drive 2014

The Worldwide Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat SHIMOGA, KARNATAKA, INDIA, in association with The Rotary blood Bank hosted its 2nd successful blooddonation drive on 26th-May-2014 at Government Middle School Premises celebrating the 125th year of the Worldwide Ahmadiyya Community and to promote World Peace showing unity of Mankind.

Shimoga is situation in south India – It is approximately 275 Kms from Bangalore.

The event started at 10:00 am with the recitation of The Holy Quranin local Kannada Language followed by few speeches in Kannada. Doctors of The Rotary Blood Bank Shimoga and few popular Political Leaders also attended this noble event. The chief Guest for the program was Dr. Sanjay K.N (Chief Medical Officer Rotary Blood Bank, Shimoga). Others who attended the drive were Dr Dhananjay Sirji (Director, Sirji Hospital, Shimoga ), Mr S.S Jyothi Prakash (Political Leader), Mr H Vishwanath (Political Leader), Mr Shekharappa Principal Government Women’s College, Shimoga and The President of Ahmadiyya Muslim Community Shimoga and its members.

The event was Organised by the Majlis Khuddam-Ul-Ahmadiyya and was supported by Ansarullah & Atfal. The preprations were started well in advance at the Venue Government Middle School Premisis. The event was was meticulously Co-Ordinated with all Majlises and went well.

“Recalling an Incident which took place Mr Shekharappa explained his first blood donation, as there was an intense need to save a youth. He explained that he was very scared about donating blood but in that extreme condition he had to made his mind and do it. He happily confirms that he found it was not that difficult to donate blood and was happy that he saved the youngster’s life. He added that: There should be continuous efforts to create awareness to donate blood and that even one unit can save 2 or even 3 lives. He heartily appreciated the Ahmadiyya Community’s initiation and expression his thought that this type of donation drives should take place often.

Donation Started with Qaid Majlis Shimoga

Mr S.S.Jyothi Prakash also spoke in this event and said by this type of events we can spread love and care to humanity and praised our motto “Love for all, Hatred for none”.

Dr Dhananjay who is the director of Sirji Hospital shimoga, had supported earlier for our first donation drive and also donated his blood and said there is a huge scarcity of blood in town and since there are many hospitals in town the requirement of blood is quit high this type of blood donation drives plays a major part to fulfill the shortage of Blood.

A Total of 45 pints of Blood were donated by the Community. And donators include non Muslims as well.

All the guests for the event were delighted and appreciated the vision and works of Jamaat.

The event was Concluded by a by silent prayer (DUA) by President of Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, Shimoga.

The event was covered by Local and regional T.V. News Channel.

Alhamdolil liah, By the Grace of Allah the event was successful and we pray for the fruitful result from this event for Islam Ahmadiyya.
