Epigraph:
On that very day Abraham took his son Ishmael and all those born in his household or bought with his money, every male in his household, and circumcised them, as God told him. Abraham was ninety-nine years old when he was circumcised, and his son Ishmael was thirteen; Abraham and his son Ishmael were both circumcised on that very day. And every male in Abraham’s household, including those born in his household or bought from a foreigner, was circumcised with him. (Genesis 17:23-27)

(6:38)
The word of your lord is complete, in truth and justice. Nothing shall abrogate His words. He is the Hearer, the Omniscient.
(6:115)
Say, “Did you note how GOD sends down to you all kinds of provisions, then you render some of them unlawful, and some lawful? Say, Did God give you permission to do this? Or, do you fabricate lies and attribute them to God?”
(10:59)
Yes, Abraham was an old man and Isaac was at least a mature adolescent. The proposal in question does allow boys as young as 12 to choose to be circumcised (although I still feel this is too young — it should only be available to adults capable of making an informed decision).
In any case, scripture seems to support the idea that circumcision can happen at any age. If it is going to happen at all, let it be chosen by adults deciding to do it to themselves, not unconsenting children.
But why to meddle into other’s affair? Why to become an adviser against circumcision?
If circumcision is right then let it be at any age. Children cannot make decision. Like a mental person, the children do not have clear will and their good and bad deeds are not considered moral (responsible) acts.
The important thing is to prove the usefulness or defect of circumcision. That is more important. Until any bad point is proved against circumcision, there is no need to discuss the matter.
Issac was born 13 years after Ishmael. The covenant of circumcision was made immediately after birth of Issac a.s. It is not right to say that Issac was grown up; that Isaac was at least a mature adolescent. That is not right. A drowning person will try to catch at a straw.
