Canada: Jews, Muslims Anti Ban on Religious Articles

Arutz Sheva

Jews and Muslims in Canada have united in their efforts to work against a bill that would ban the display of any religious article in the public workplace.

Should the law pass, one of the effects would be the demand that thousands of Jews remove their head coverings during work hours.

“If this law passes, it will be an outrage,” said one disgruntled hareidi citizen this week. “We are speaking of hundreds and hundreds of (religious) Jews — doctors, accountants, lawyers, and more,” he said.

  1. Does the head covering disturb the Canadian government? Does it interfere in the matters of government? There should be liberty in these matters. Otherwise, it would be an interference in personal harmless matters of the public.

Will the Sikh have to take off their turban? There is no need to pass a law about these things.

Different organisations can have their own laws about such things. Even those should not interfere in such minor things as turbans.

The government should govern with wisdom and keep away from such minor matters.
Are turbans and caps a threat to the Canadian state?
