As many as 50 Ulema of the Sunni Ittehad Council in a collective edict declared that killing an innocent is the biggest sin and killing of foreign guest is the worst crime. It was also declared in the edict that attacks on Mosques, hospitals, educational institute, funerals and security forces is not Jihad.

Barri dair ki mehrabaan aatay aatay,
Trans: O, my dear kind persons, you took so long to come over to me !
Thanks to Allah, some one has spoken. The Jama’at Ahmadiyah Muslimah was telling them (maulvis) to be peaceful. Do not support any killing. But they did not listen. They openly supported killing. Banners were hoisted spporting the killing of Ahmadis in Lahore and other cities. It was all nonsense and anti-islamic. But nobody listened. Nobody took advice.
Whatever is said in the above edict in Urdu is perfectly right. But how they will control the killers now! It is too late to do that. It is true that Khawarij were the enemies (of Hazrat Ali party). They were in fact enemy of both sides of Muslims at that time.
Credit must be given to the Muftiaan karaam for coming up with an answer. I feel that government must be behind that edict. Foolish people had been hoping for implementing the Law of Sharia in country. The present condition is worse than law of the jungle.
Will the clever Muftis please look around for any other major injustice being perpetrated in the country? The present lawlessness is linked with hatred towards other faiths (religions) and hatred towards other sects. The Mufti sahibaan have taken such a long tme to come to a decision. They should sincerely try to follow up their decision with government and with other sect people.
The religious leaders have blamed America too. It was better not to meddle into politics.
The Amman Message (www.theammanmessage.com) also deserves much more attention. But even the authors (The King of Jordan) do not propagate it sufficiently. (Rumour has it that the initiative of the Amman Message come from ‘abroad’).
