Dr Abdus Salam, Muslim world’s first Nobel laureate in physics 1979, passed away November 21, 1996. In order to
pay tribute to this giant of 20th century scientists, Prof Dr John Moffat and Zakaria Virk paid tribute on November
21, 2012, with program host Atif Mir. Prof Moffat did his Ph.D under Dr Salam in 1959 London. Prof Moffat has written a celebrated book “Einstein wrote back” 2010, in which he has narrated life story of 12 giants of 20th century including Abdus Salam. Dr Moffat lives in Waterloo, Ontario. He will be visiting CERN in January 2013 in connection with discovery of Higgs particle, which was mathematically conceived by Dr Salam.
