System for selective dissemination of Islamic data launched

The first comprehensive system for selective dissemination of Islamic data has been launched by the Development Bureau of Qom Seminary.

IBNA: Manager of the Information System Administration of the Bureau, Mehdi Khatami Kashani, said introduction of the latest publications of the bureau is one of the missions of the new system.

Speaking with IBNA, Kashani asserted that the system has been devised with the aim of assisting the publication and ease of access to digital products of Qom seminary for researchers of Islamic sciences, and helping users search their subjects in a sea of Islamic information.

Besides offering useful information, the system works as an interface for the showcase of the latest publications of the Bureau on subjects like the Holy Quran, theology, Islamic Jurisprudence, philosophy, mysticism, ethics, history and the latest Islamic developments in the world, he went on to add.

By logging on to the system, users can access blurbs of the publications and order them online.

Moreover, the system releases announcements of Quranic and Islamic gatherings as well as conferences.

The system is still an incipient development which is expected to spark a lot of interest among religious researchers.
