ISLAMABAD – President Asif Zardari on Monday said the people must remain alert to new forms of assaults on the constitution and parliament, as he urged the nation to work together and commit to the progress of the country by setting aside mutual differences.
In his message on the country’s 65th Independence Day, Zardari said that Quaid-e-Azam envisioned Pakistan as a country where democracy, constitutionalism and rule of law would reign supreme.
“Let us on this day rededicate ourselves to the democratic ideals and principles of the Quaid. Adherence to the principle that political choices must be made by the ballot, and not imposed through bullet, demands that we banish from our midst all forms of bigotry, extremism and militancy,” he said. Zardari said while it was natural to rejoice today in our independence celebrations, it is also an occasion to pause and ponder over whether we have moved towards or away from the ideals for which Pakistan was created.
The president said unfortunately for most part of Pakistan’s independent existence, the people were often denied the right to rule and constitution repeatedly abrogated.
He said it was reassuring that the president and parliament unanimously restored to a large extent through the constitution of 1973.
This is the only worry of Mr. Zradari.” The well being of HIS Constitution that strengthens his power even more”. The constitution that cannot even do as much as breaking of a straw for the sake of the nation’s agony, what use of it can be?
His country begins and ends within his office where he generates and distributes riches to the people of his likes. And plan how to squeeze the already dead nation to get more.
The Holy Quran says for such people that hellish food will not quench their thirst or fill their hunger, they will keep asking,”Hal min mazeed?”. is there anything more?
I heard some of his bluff. His tone did not match his words. It was like memorized chapter without the spirit of a sincere leader.
It is so disgusting that they think no body knows what they are.
This year I did not greet anyone on the birthday of Pakistan. I repeatedly felt apologizing my beloved land that turned sixty five year old with its body and mind injured and bleeding. It looks like a frightend kidnapped person. It should be yaum-e-nidaamat, the day of shame for Pakistan, they have failed to protect it altogether. They more they announce their loyalty the more it is forsaken. Their friendship is enough to ruin it. The sixty five year old crippled and helpless country. Who’s resources are looted,by his own people. A certain group of people have filled their accounts. And the people that they were supposed to serve are starving . No water, no electricity, no more control over its rivers, no peace, no education for all, no food, no fruites, no oil, no milk, no sugar no medicines. Even daals(pulses) scarce. If there only adulterated things. That slow poison the Nation. No good road system ways. No railways, PIA almost grounded. Pakistan steel mill near death.No parks for the kids and youths to play, No petrole, CNG or diesel.
No public transport. Doesn’t matter the constitution must be saved. And he is asking the fools that are the fuel of this “holy” constitution.
Sorry Pakistan. I am grieved on your continuous agony.
