The House on Friday resoundingly rejected a measure that would have authorized the United States’ mission in Libya, with 70 Democrats deserting President Obama on an issue that has divided their party and became a major Constitutional flash point between Congress and the White House.

The resolution — one of two the House took up Friday — failed 295 to 123, with an overwhelming majority of Republicans voting no.

  1. If you allow me to demystify this:

Ultimately someone has to enforce the laws, often political issues play out in the general public opinion.

If the national media starts forcing this contradiction between the administration and the congress, then congress could force Obama administration to follow the law and if he does not fall in line impeachment hearings could start.

But, as the national media will not push this beyond superficially covering it, status quo can easily prevail and life goes on for everyone except for some of the unfortunate Libyans.
