Maulana Nizamuddin, who was once assigned to preach in Eastern Indonesia, Kupang, West Nusa Tenggara, North Sulawesi, emphasized that the Ahmadiyah Congregation carries out worship according to the Pillars of Islam.
“Alhamdulillah, I’m currently on a missionary assignment in Purwokerto. We’ve also been mingling with other religious organizations, and there haven’t been any problems,” he concluded.
The same thing was also conveyed by Maulana Muneeb Ahmad, a local preacher from North Purwokerto, who covers the areas of Pabuaran, Sumbang, Kedungbanteng.
Maulana Muneeb, who admitted that since childhood he had been involved with the Ahmadiyah congregation in Parung Bogor, West Java, admitted that the negative stigma was deliberately spread by people who did not like the development of Ahmadiyah .
“I’ve been in Parung since elementary school, and there haven’t been any problems. There was an attack on the Ahmadiyah congregation in Parung, but it’s unknown who the perpetrators were. The Ahmadiyah community is fine with the surrounding community; there haven’t been any problems at all, even now,” he said.
Maulana Muneeb believes that it is possible that those who have labeled the Ahmadiyah congregation as deviating from Islamic teachings do not know or do not know exactly about the Ahmadiyah congregation .
“We’re the same, like other Muslims. If there are differences in our views on religion, that’s normal. But what’s clear is that we practice our religion according to the guidance of the Prophet Muhammad,” he explained.
