KENDARIPOS.FAJAR.CO.ID–Indonesia has once again achieved success on the international fashion stage. Bank Indonesia (BI), through the Indonesia International Modest Fashion Festival (IN2MOTIONFEST ), is bringing seven Indonesian designers to appear at the prestigious Istanbul Fashion Connection (IFCO) 2025 event in Turkey .
BI Senior Deputy Governor Destry Damayanti emphasized that this participation is not just about fashion, but also a way for Indonesia to showcase its identity, culture, and creativity on the global stage.
“Each designer brings a creative touch steeped in cultural values. The collections presented are not only beautiful, but also prove that modest fashion can be a driver of economic empowerment,” said Destry in Istanbul on Friday (August 22, 2025).
According to the State of the Global Islamic Economy (SGIE) 2024/2025 report, Indonesia now ranks first in the global modest fashion sector. This achievement, Destry said, demonstrates the international recognition of Indonesian fashion products.
“Indonesia is not only rich in culture, but also capable of competing globally. Our modest fashion has been recognized internationally thanks to the creativity, quality, and innovation of our designers,” he added.
Destry also mentioned the major event, the Indonesia Sharia Economic Festival (ISEF), which will be held in Jakarta on October 8-12, 2025. This festival will present more than 180 designers and showcase 1,600 modest fashion styles, making it one of the largest fashion events in Indonesia.
“What we’re showcasing in Turkey isn’t just fashion, but cultural heritage, brought to the global stage in a fresh way. Modest fashion is a canvas for creativity that reflects dignity, beauty, and cultural pride,” Destry concluded, as quoted by detik.com.
