A number of Ahmadiyah figures fought for Indonesian independence

Jakarta, IDN Times - The independence of the Republic of Indonesia was born from the struggle of the Indonesian people from various elements. Including national figures, including figures from the Ahmadiyah congregation. 

Through a national insight workshop with the theme "Strengthening National Insight by Increasing Love for the Motherland to Maintain National Unity and Integrity", the Ahmadiyah congregation revealed a series of Ahmadiyah figures who also fought in the pre-independence era. 

A number of Ahmadiyah academics and figures were presented at the event which took place at the Ahmadiyah central headquarters, Kemang, Parung, Bogor Regency, Saturday (31/8/2024). They include Former Director of Evaluation of Lemhanas Rear Admiral (Ret.) Rusmali Anggawiria, UIN Lecturer Syarief Hidayatullah Prof. Dr. Rumadi Ahmad, BRIN Researcher Prof. Ahmad Najib Burhani, as well as Lecturer at UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta and Commissioner of the National Commission on Violence Against Women, Prof. Alimatul Qibtiyah.
