The Best Muslim, Jewish and Christian Voices for Bringing Peace in Israel and Palestine

Epigraph:

Jesus said, “Blessed are the peacemakers, because they will be called sons of God” (Matt. 5:9).

The intent here is to make the reader or the viewer an expert, in a few hours or days, so he or she can become a part of the solution rather than the problem. A genuine seeker of peace.

The first step is to understand the occupation, the horrors of the October 7 massacre and the 15000 Palestinians killed in the war since and then find a solution, be it two state solution, one state solution or some other recipe for peace and coexistence:

British Jewish MP Gerald Kaufman about the horrific situation in Gaza

Sir Gerald Bernard Kaufman (21 June 1930 – 26 February 2017) was a British politician and author who served as a minister throughout the Labour government of 1974 to 1979. Elected as a member of parliament (MP) at the 1970 general election, he became Father of the House in 2015 and served until his death in 2017.

Born in Leeds to a Polish Jewish family, Kaufman was secretary of the Oxford University Labour Club while studying philosophy, politics and economics at The Queen’s College, Oxford. After graduating from Oxford, he worked as a journalist at the Daily Mirror and the New Statesman and as a writer at BBC Television. Again becoming active in the Labour Party, he served as an adviser to Harold Wilson during Wilson’s first tenure as Prime Minister before being elected to the House of Commons himself at the 1970 general election to represent Manchester Ardwick.

  1. Israel moves into southern Gaza in new phase of war; hospitals there under strain

Israel’s military is advancing into southern Gaza in a push, signaling a new phase of its war against Hamas — and an increasingly perilous situation for Palestinian civilians who have few safe places left to flee. Israel says Hamas leaders who planned the Oct. 7 attack are sheltering in the south. Satellite imagery showed dozens of armored vehicles to the about 1½ miles north of Khan Younis, the largest city in the south. The city’s main hospital is also severely overcrowded, the World Health Organization and the head of Gaza’s Health Ministry said, with the WHO warning that there were not enough medical staff or supplies to care for those in need. Some communications services were being restored Tuesday after a territory-wide blackout overnight, which hampered humanitarian efforts.

  2. The UN’s top aid official has said the Israeli military campaign in southern Gaza has been just as devastating as in the north, creating “apocalyptic” conditions and ending any possibility of meaningful humanitarian operations.

Martin Griffiths, the UN emergency relief coordinator, said he was speaking on behalf of the entire international aid community in saying the continuing offensive had robbed aid workers of any significant means of helping the 2.3 million people of Gaza, other than to call for an immediate end to the fighting.

His comments came as the Israeli military said it had stormed southern Gaza’s main city in the most intense day of fighting so far, and hospitals struggled to cope with scores of dead and wounded Palestinians.
