Harakatuna. com – Recently, religious-based conflicts often arise as a result of the ideological movements of radical groups that do not go away. As quoted from that conflict is a fertile field for the operation of radical terrorism groups. In turn, conflict often creates chaos and becomes the oxygen for radical group movements in society.

Religion-based conflict is a major factor in the existence of local wars in the community. Even until this moment, no one can guarantee that religion-based wars will completely disappear. The most important step is to continue to strive to prevent this from happening and to continue to be aware of the ripples of movements that have the potential to cause conflict in the community.

Religion is indeed the most powerful weapon to gain people’s emotions and is often a medium for conflict in society. There have been many incidents of conflict that have been motivated by religious sentiments, whether the Christian-Islamic conflict in Poso, Shia in Sampang, Ahmadiyah in Kalimantan and so on.

But besides that, conflict is not only caused by religion. Conflicts on the other hand can arise from rampant injustice, corruption, poverty, and discrimination, which are often the ghosts of mankind to this day. That is precisely what society must fight. As well as geopolitical problems that have the potential to trigger conflict, climate, energy, and food crises are also things that need to be anticipated and solutions immediately sought.

All the backgrounds of the conflict can be overcome if the community is all cohesive, and unites hand in hand. Ideally, there should no longer be sectoral or regional egos. With the plural reality of Indonesian society, it becomes an important social capital in the process of resilience, do not let it be torn apart just for the sake of the interests of religious-based groups.

For this reason, religious-based conflicts should not be left unchecked, because they are like fire in the husk and become a latent danger in society. A solution must be found quickly through the negotiating table, especially with armed violence. Religion-based conflicts must be reduced in society.

Mainstreaming the Precepts of the Pancasila Divinity

Apart from the root cause of the conflict above. Religion-based conflicts often create endless chaos. And the proponents of the conflict (radical groups) took advantage of that momentum to discredit the government. If we trace the rise of this religion-based conflict, it is motivated by the lack of mainstreaming of values in the Pancasila Divine Precepts.

Whereas the mainstreaming of values in the Pancasila Belief in the Precepts is very urgent, considering that it is the most basic and main value in the Pancasila which to this day needs to be grounded. Even though to this day it is still a debate between groups that support the Precepts of One Godhead or the 7-word Precepts of the Jakarta Charter (Implementing Islamic Sharia for its adherents) which was abolished on August 18, 1945.

Mainstreaming the value of God in the first precepts of Pancasila is very important because lately the values of Pancasila have not gained a place in the hearts of a small part of the Indonesian people. As according to Subagyo (2020), that divine values as the first precepts of Pancasila are not internalized and practiced.

This is reflected in the existence of a group of parties who want the seven words in the Jakarta Charter to be re-established. Even though it has become a national agreement that Indonesia is not a religious state, but a state based on the Pancasila state.

However, in reality, there are still those who want the formation of a state based on religion, they are allergic to other religions, and tend to be narrow in viewing religious teachings, resulting in the potential for intra-religious conflicts and inter-religious conflicts. This is what the nation’s leaders are concerned about.

Therefore, divine values must be internalized in people’s lives, both in the family environment, education environment, work environment, and community environment. All religions actually teach peace, peace, love, mutual respect, mutual respect, and mutual tolerance between adherents of religions, so there should be no adherents of one religion who disbelieve and condemn followers of other religions just because of different beliefs or different beliefs and different religions. .

The divine value in Pancasila actually requires all religious adherents to embrace their respective religions and beliefs, without having to corner followers of other religions. Because Indonesia through Pancasila covers all elements of religion, without looking down on each other.

The potential for intolerance, radicalism and terrorism must be reduced through a deradicalization program, in which the divine values in Pancasila must be able to be absorbed, understood, and practiced by all components of the nation. This is the urgency of mainstreaming the values of the Pancasila Divinity. The perpetrators of terrorism must understand that the divine values suggest that the majority protect the minority, and the minority respect the majority.

Finally, reducing religious-based conflicts is very important, one of which is through the mainstreaming of divine values in Pancasila.
