Book Review: Peace of Mind by Zia H Shah MD

Epigraphs:

He is the First and the Last, and the Manifest and the Hidden, and He knows all things full well. (Al Quran 57:3)

And every one has a goal which dominates him; vie, then, with one another in good works. (Al Quran 2:148)

Title of the book

More than a billion are suffering from anxiety and depression according to BBC. Many more have personality or other psychological issues. Shall we say that a large majority of humanity is not performing at its best or at least not in the right direction.

Do I have better solutions? Do I have the audacity of such a claim? No mortal human should make such tall claims.

But with prayers and optimism I present a service here to the whole of my human family. You be the judge!

I wrote this book in 1995-1996 and link it here without further adoo:

Please read or at least review the book before further journey in this post.

Have I learnt something in the last three decades about psychology, meditation, morality, Christianity and Islam?

Before we go further, my main suggestion to the open minded readers is to read on and in the words of Sir Francis Bacon, “Read not to contradict … but to weigh and consider.”
