Well, interesting subject. There are some topics where it is sort of easy to differentiate what is moral or acceptable and what is not. Killing for instance or theft I suppose. Where it gets more complicated is in the sexual morals. The religions give clear guidance. The non-religious may have different opinions for instance whether adultry is permissable or not…
Adultery is not really in question. That is an offense that injures another party against their will. That is the basis of a perfect morality. While religion has always wanted to govern fertility, there is no “sin” in consensual relationships. Personal autonomy inside a framework of equal protection would be the baseline for a fair and equal society for all.
The difference in atheism and belief is this; belief subjects your will to obedience at any cost. You can see throughout history that believers have blindly followed belief into battle. Atheism is simply ethical living without obedience. I trust myself far greater than I trust any cleric to tell me what I must do.
Even the first 5 of 10 commandments stresses allegiance first to god. Well, when his prophets are warmongering for him, that is a huge problem against ethical living.
You don’t need religion to have morals. If you can’t determine right from wrong then you lack compassion and empathy, not religion.
Now non religious people see that the religious people ( Muslim) kill more people in the name of their religion than non religious people kill people.
Now, the religion make people imoral, brutality and stupidity.

Sahih Muslim 33—”I have been commanded to fight against people till they testify that there is no god but Allah”
Sahih Muslim 4366—“ I will expel the Jews and Christian from the Arabian Peninsula and will not leave any but Muslim”
Sahih Muslim 6922:—Those who changed his Islamic religion, kill them.
Million people follow this teaching right now in Islamic countries, very sad indeed😌

The prophet was a model of the teachings of the Quran.
“And prove the orphans until they attain the age of marriage; then, if you find in them sound judgment, deliver to them their property; and devour it not in extravagance and haste against their growing up. And whoso is rich, let him abstain; and whoso is poor, let him eat thereof with equity. And when you deliver to them their property, then call witnesses in their presence. And Allah is sufficient as a Reckoner.” (Al Quran 4:6)

I cannot follow what prophet Muhammad ( saw) did in marriage case.
1. Prophet married 40 years old Khadijah
2. Prophet marriage 11 wives after Khadijah died 65 years old
3. Prophet marriage Aishah 6 years or 9 years old. Prophet Muhammad 54 years old.
One reason that a Christian want to convert to Islam just for Sex—They can marry 4 wives, Christianity allow 1 wife for life time.

The truth is before Islam came to Muhammad 25 years old Muhammad married a rich women Khadijah 40 years old.
He married Khadijah for 25 years, only 1 wife. Khadijah was a Nasrani. Tradition Nasrani was 1 wife and 1 husband. Muhammad was following Christianity faith. One wife.
After Khadijah died at 65 years and Prophet Muhammad 50 years old he married 11 wives and had many beautiful slaves : look at verses

Prophet Muhammad also married his daughter ( zainab ) who had a husband.
The west follow Prophet Muhammad in marriage case. Temporary marriage or Mutahhh Q.4:24. ( prostitution marriage ) and free sex etc.
