On 29th November, 2019, the president of Ahmadiyya Muslim Youth association visited the council chambers to deliver a speech on women’s rights in Islam and how Islam empowered women centuries ago, and still continues to do so.

Councillor Jasbinder Dehar had invited the Ahmadiyya Muslim community to speak at her orange campaign which is a United Nations initiative to educate people on violence against women.

Wolverhampton wears the orange colour proudly and strongly support all the victims of abuse, man or woman, black or white… religious or non-religious, it matters not.

We stand together in solidarity for all those who are oppressed.
