I am a theist and so emotionally with Lennox. Yet, happy to report that Dawkins, at least knocks out a poor case for theism that proposes God dying for our sins in the first few minutes of the debate and is discussed again around minute 32.
Around minute 25 Dawkins makes a preposterous claim that our universe had a very simple beginning. It is preposterous that he is calling all the laws of quantum physics and more that lead to the big bang or universe as simplistic.
But, Lennox may be arguing God of the gaps and Dawkins claims it around minute 29. As God is the Hidden Al-Baatin God of Islam, who works through the Laws of Nature and we will keep discovering more and more of them.
Lennox’s understanding of miracle is supernatural and anti-scientific.
I am saving this debate here in the Muslim Times also for the posterity; in case it is taken down from YouTube:
