USA: Ahmadiyya Muslim Community Seattle to host an Interfaith Day to honor 9/11 victims at Bait-ul-Ehsaan (Abode of Kindness) Mosque

The Seattle chapter of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community will host an Interfaith Day for the anniversary of the attacks. All events will be held at the Bait-ul-Ehsaan (Abode of Kindness) Mosque, 23515 Old Owen Road. The day is meant to emphasize the sanctity of life and the importance of living together within a diverse community, and to honor 9/11 victims.

All are welcome at the mosque for the following free events:

10 a.m.-4 p.m.: Muslims for Life blood drive and food bank drive.

11 a.m.-noon: Edmonds Unitarian Universalist Congregation Sunday service.

11 a.m-3:30 p.m.: Lunch

1-2:30 p.m.: Interfaith service, “Standing Together in Difficult Times”

Mountlake Terrace: A national Day of Service park cleanup is scheduled for 9 a.m. Sept. 17 at Ballinger Park, 23000 Lakeview Dr.

The volunteer day is in honor of Sept. 11. Wear outdoor clothes and bring gardening tools. Groups planning to attend are asked to call 425-776-1811.
