“I was doing rounds in the ICU (intensive care unit). And there was a TV on. I looked up and there was smoke coming from one of the World Trade Center towers. They were saying a plane had hit the tower, but at that point no one knew what had happened. It later became clear that it was a terrorist attack. And after that, it became clear that the people who committed the attacks were Muslims. It was very disturbing. I still cannot come to terms with how those people who committed that attack could call themselves Muslims,” said Humayun, a member of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community.
During the next several days, as more details about the attack came out, Humayun says he became even more saddened by the number of innocent deaths and more disturbed that the perpetrators of the attack had done so in the name of Islam. But he says he was comforted by the reaction of those around him.
“There was fear. Everyone was justifiably concerned about what would happen next. But my patients and my peers and colleagues knew me well. They knew me personally. So they did not in any way blame me. They realized that you cannot generalize from just a very few people. The vast majority of Muslims were terrified just like everyone else. They were horrified just like everyone else,” he said.
Humayun’s daughter Najia, the oldest of his three children, was just 4 at the time.
“I don’t have any memory of 9/11 itself because I was so young,” said Najia, who is currently in her second year at Georgia Tech studying international affairs.
One of her classes showed the documentary “102 Minutes That Changed America,” which depicts the attack in real time by the use of video shot by people on the scene.
“After that, I was terrified by the magnitude of what happened. To me, it was horrific in two ways. The first way was as an American. Those were average Americans going to work and going about their lives. And their lives were taken unjustly. And it horrified me to think that some people will link that attack to Islam, a religion which brings me peace. It horrified me to think that the people who committed that attack misused Islam that way,” she said.

The 9/11 2001 has changed my faith in Islam from conservative / extremist Muslim to liberal / progressive Muslim.
I am one of those who are motivated to re-learn secrets contained in the Qur’an and the Bible after the barbaric terrorist attacks in New York Tower 11/9 2001 done by the hands of fellow Muslims. More than 3000 innocent people died. I was shocked and very sad.
I feel responsible as a Muslim and as a human being to speak out and tell the truth to prevent the world and Muslims as well from a coming catastrophe, destruction and misery, and war of civilizations. We, Muslim always claim that Islam is peaceful religion and bring mercy to all mankind. But on the contrary we see violence everywhere in Muslim Countries. Since then millions innocent people have already been suffered, displaced and killed. Nauzubillah. It is very sad, pity, heartbreaking and embarrassing too as a Muslim.
We have to admit that our current Islamic teaching, old /ancient interpretation of Islam by Extremist Clerics creates violence, oppression, discrimination, injustice, killing innocent people, children,women, blasphemy, gay-lesbian, apostate, create poverty and hatred toward Christian, Jewish, and Muslim Shia and Ahmadiyah.
We Muslims are the ones who need to change. It is a Muslim problem that needs a Muslim solution .
1. As long as Saudi Arabia and Iran still judge and blame each other, there will be no permanent peace in Middle East.
2. As long as Islamic clerics who live in United States of America still advocate Syariah Laws, and advocate Women to wear Hijab in public place, and work place, and advocate men to have long beadr, Islamophobia will be increased faster than we thought and will affect to Muslim’s daily life.
3. My best suggestion;
As long as American Muslims can practice our prayer 5 times a day, and we can fast every year, and pay Tax ( Zakat) to government, Allah will forgive and bless us all. In Islamic teaching, prayers ( Shalat), Fasting and tax or Zakat are obligation. Other rules that relate to the worldly matter can be changed / reformed according to the development and progress of knowledge and human’s cultures.Such as;
1. The system of government,– 2. dressing /clothes–3. Bank System–4. lawful foods and unlawful foods, 5. others.
So as long as Muslim Ahmadiyyah still advocate the ancient Islamic laws and still judge other beliefs i thinks it is not the true Islamic teaching ( pls correct me if I make a mistake)

THOSE MUSLIMS WHO FOLLOW THE ANCIENT ISLAMIC LAWS BECOME TERRORIST.
I strongly believe that extremist Muslim will not stop killing innocent people, children and women with suicide bomb. They strongly believe in Imam Muslim-Bukhari was written in the book of Hadith that the suicide bomber will go to Paradise.
So as long as Islamic scholars including Muslim Ahmadiyyah do not declare and reject the violent Hadith publicly, there is no peace. more innocent people will die in the hand of Jihadith and Extremist Muslims.

Anyone who changes his religion (out of Islam, apostasy) then kill. Wherever you meet them, then kill them. Because real people are killed they will get a reward at the Judgment Day (HR. Bukhari) –

Ahmadies don’t advocate for wrongs and it is a vital difference . If any one follows his religion , no one minds . Problem arises when one becomes God and try to enforce others to follow him . I never heard Imam jamaate ahmadiyya , saying ” do ” . He always says ” you should do this or that ” . Since he is the Khalifa , he follows the Quran which says ” your religion is for you , mine is for me ” . This is the beauty of the true religion . He does not force anyone , only gives logic . If you satisfy , accept ; if don’t satisfy , don’t accept . Have you ever heard him saying that he is not Muslim or he will go to hell ? Islamophobia is the out come of that ideology which 98% Muslims follow , knowingly or unknowingly . It is against that ideology which makes the Quranic teaching ” there is no compulsion in the matter of faith ” , irrelevant . Ask any Moulvi , other than ahmadi , about Jehad : you will know the truth behind islamophobia . Sir Ali Hidayah , there can not be islamophobia against that Islam which ahmadies are presenting . In fact one gets respect and recognition . If 98% Muslims accept that ” your religion is for you , mine is for me ” and ” there is no compulsion in the matter of faith “; there will be no problem . @ Syed Attab Alam—the problem in Muslim Ahmadiyyah are;
1. Muslim Ahmadiyyah still do not accept LGBT’s right…because Allah forbid and punish LGBT.
2.Muslim Ahmadiyyah still follow or do not reject the ancient Islamic laws such as; beheading, cut off the hands and flogging women at front of public as Saudi,Iran and ISIS do.It means that Muslim Ahmadiyyha still follow the extremist execution.
3. Muslim Ahmadiyyah still judge Christian’s belief like the death of Prophet Jesus as.
4. Muslim Ahmadiyyah still reject to reform the ancient Islamic laws, whereas we live in 21st century now. Such as; the system of Bank, the label of Halal foods, Hijab or Burqa, Burkini, Beard, forbid Muslim to have dog or pet, etc.
WHEREAS.Liberal Muslim believe that Muslims have reformed such the ancient Islamic laws. Liberal Muslim do not follow ISIS, Saudi Arabia and Iran’s interpretation of Islam relate to the worldly laws.
