Bangladesh considering abandoning Islam as its official religion following wake of extremist attacks
- Supreme Court is considering dropping Islam as country’s state religion
- The move is being backed by leaders of minority faiths in the country
- It comes after a string of terror attacks against Hindus and Christians
- But Bangladesh government insist terror attacks are not the work of ISIS
Bangladesh could drop Islam as the country’s official religion following a string of extremist attacks against people of other faiths.
The supreme court in the South Asia nation has began to hear arguments which challenge Islam’s status as the official state religion.

It comes after a spate of attacks against people of other religions such as Hindus, Christians, and minorities Shi’ites, which have been blamed on Islamic extremists.

The true Islamic state is apposite what Extremist Muslim practice such as Saudi Arabia, Iran,Isis, Taliban, Jihadith etc.
The true Islamic state is to treat and protect a right of all religious minorities and do justice for all as Allah commanded in Al Quran.QS 5’8,QS 60;7-8, QS 15;142.
So, Muslim around the world have been deceived by Extremist Muslim Scholars.

Congratulations to Bangladesh. Secularism should be the goal of each and every country. Hoping many other so called Muslim countries can follow this example.
When religion is distorted and made for achieving one’s vested interests , it becomes a great threat for mankind . Distorted religion makes human being illogical , unjust , dreamy and barbaric . When prayer houses of ahmadies / shias / Hindus / Christians are demolished ; no one even bothers . When someone ignites people by saying ” they are kafir , they are wajibulqatal… go .. burn their houses .. destroy their properties … kill them and reserve your berth in the heaven … ” no one even notice . Government , government machineries , political parties , intellectuals , press & media and people become silent . No one even asks that what are you saying . This silence nourishes that religion which starts from the murder of one innocent and later on burn the entire country and now trying to ashamed the entire humanity and making the lives of Muslims , trouble some. Zia H Shah is right secularism is the only way .
There is no such thing as “An Islamic State”. No such concept exists in the Holy Quran. There are countries where Muslims are in majority. Even in those countries “Sharia” as understood by the ignorant Muslim leaders cannot be implemented.
When the Holy Prophet was given control of Madina a treaty was put in place. It is called “Misaq-e-Madina”. Any one can go and read through the elements of this treaty. It is no “Sharia”. No so called “Islamic Punishments” were in it. No punishment for blasphemy, apostasy or dishonoring the Prophet or the Quran are in it. No zakat was enforced. Non Muslims, Christians and Jews, all were included in the army. No jizya was imposed. Justice was given to all. And most certainly there is nothing in that treaty to “protect Islam”.
Today’s Muslims think and want to be ahead of the Prophet. They want to do what he did not do!! The religious leaders of Muslims today are self appointed protectors of the religion. They are deceivers, liars and thieves. All they want is money and power. There is not a single Muslim religious leader in the world today who is trying to reform Islam. All of them are asking for money and control.
So what is the solution. Muslims should reduce their “aqeedat” and stop calling their religious leaders with long and never ending salutations with their names, such as “Maulana”, “Hadhrat”, “Chishtiya”, “Qadria”, “Rahmatullah”, etc. These religious leaders should be considered human and fallible. They should be questioned and argued with. They should be required to explain their thinking in public forums. This will reveal their true nature and depth of their knowledge. When they are exposed in public only then the public will see their true colors.
