Mayor of Milpitas address Iftar Dinner at Baitul Maseer Mosque, Ahmadiyya Muslim Silicon Valley event: Fiji Sun


MILPITAS CITY MAYOR, Jose Esteves yesterday praised Ahmadiyya Muslim Silicon Valley for being a real role model for peace, justice and community relations at their annual Iftar Dinner that attracts a large number of interfaith members.

In his welcome address the Naib Ameer West Coast, Wasim Malik outlined the 5 pillars of Islam and that fasting was a significant pillar in character building of the Muslims as righteous people of God to uphold peaceful and brotherly relations with all.

Various other county, city and state officials also paid huge tribute to the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community for the exemplary life style and services.

During the Iftar break, interfaith leaders of various communities freely intermingled with members of the mosque and shared their appreciations and thanks for a wonderful interactive opportunity.

Over the years, the Iftar Dinner has proved a popular event at Baitul Baseer Mosque here in Silicon Valley.
