More than 20 young Muslims from Spen Valley and Huddersfield joined local members of the Royal British Legion to collect at the Huddersfield Town Football Club.
They see it as a mark of good citizenship and demonstration of loyalty to one’s country. To acknowledge the partnership, the Royal British Legion has marked the 1st of November 2014 as “The Ahmadiyya Muslim Poppy Appeal Day”
