205. And when the son of Mary is mentioned as an instance, lo! thy people raise a clamour thereat

[43:58] And when the son of Mary is mentioned as an instance, lo! thy people raise a clamour thereat;

Note: The advent of the Messiah was a sign that the Jews were going to be disgraced and humiliated and were about to be deprived of Prophethood for all time. Mathal signifying anything similar or equal to another, the verse, besides the meaning given in the text, may also signify that when the people of the Holy Prophet – the Muslims – are told that another person, who would be like Jesus and would be his counterpart, would be raised from among them to regenerate them and restore their lost spiritual glory, instead of being glad over this good tidings, they raise a clamour. The verse may thus be taken as referring to the Second Coming of Jesus.

  1. From the world go it has been recorded times without number that oppositions and persecutions hve ever been the fuel to grow the gospel of the Lord Jesus. let the Islamic world know that there is no other saviour than Jesus Christ. No treat from Islamic world can ever change this. Jesus is the LORD.

  2. But why should Jesus Christ’s name be a treat to Islamic world, if they are sure of who they are following?

    rufus adekunle, Muslims follow the prophet Muhammad who taught respect of all previous prophets and messengers of God. He was the one who mentioned the names of many previous messengers and their life story. It is all described in very good words in the Quran. There is not a bad word against any prophet in the Quran. Even the apostles of Jesus a.s. are mentioned in good words.
    But in your bible, it is described that some apostles abused Jesus and fled the scene.
    In the bibleNT it is described that all previous religious leaders were dacoits (?) or robbers.
    Please try to read a portion of the Quran with open mind and you will find much good in it.
    We Muslims follow Muhammad and all other prophets. We do not worship them because that would be a great sin to associate any one with God Almighty.
