PARIS, Jan 12 (Reuters) – French first lady Valerie Trierweiler has been admitted to hospital following reports of an affair between President Francois Hollande and an actress, but will be discharged on Monday, sources said on Sunday.

Daily newspaper Le Parisien said on its website earlier that Trierweiler, 48, had been taken to hospital after being shaken by a celebrity magazine’s reports of a liaison between her partner Hollande and French actress Julie Gayet.

“She has been in hospital since Friday. She will leave tomorrow,” her spokesman Patrice Biancone told Reuters.

Asked about the future of Trierweiler’s relationship with the president, Biancone said: “She needs rest. Then she will decide what to do.”

  2. What can we comment? May be ‘The hidden polygamy is taking its toll’? As we can see from all these ‘happenings’ nature takes its course. Polygamy is happening, whether legalized or not. The difference is only that when it is legalized and acknowledged then there are less ‘surprises’ and less ‘hospitalization’. But, yes, Jo: The aim should remain a happy couple, faithful to each other. That is always the best for everyone, adults and children.

    This day all good things have been made lawful for you. And the food of the People of the Book is lawful for you, and your food is lawful for them. And lawful for you are chaste believing women and chaste women from among those who were given the Book before you, when you give them their dowries, contracting valid marriage and not committing fornication nor taking secret paramours. And whoever rejects the faith, his work has doubtless come to naught, and in the Hereafter he will be among the losers. (Al Quran 5:6)

    And those of you who die and leave wives behind, these (wives) shall wait concerning themselves four months and ten days. And when they have reached the end of their period, no sin shall lie on you in anything that they do with regard to themselves according to what is fair. And Allah is aware of what you do. And there shall be no blame on you in throwing out a hint regarding a proposal of marriage to these women or in keeping the desire hidden in your minds. Allah knows that you will think of them in this connection. But make not a contract with them in secret, except that you say a fair word. And resolve not on the marriage tie until the prescribed period reaches its end. And know that Allah knows what is in your minds; so beware of it. And know that Allah is Most Forgiving, Forbearing. (Al Quran 2:235-236)

    And whoso of you cannot afford to marry free, believing women, let him marry what your right hands possess, namely, your believing handmaids. And Allah knows your faith best; you are all one from another; so marry them with the leave of their masters and give them their dowries according to what is fair, they being chaste, not committing fornication, nor taking secret paramours. And if, after they are married, they are guilty of lewdness, they shall have half the punishment prescribed for free women. This is for him among you who fears lest he should commit sin. And that you restrain yourselves is better for you; and Allah is Most Forgiving, Merciful. (Al Quran 4:26)

    The Holy Quran allows polygamy up to 4 wives, with certain conditions, but, categorically prohibits secret relationships.

  4. Beautiful verses of the Glorious Quran. Please note that stress is on marriage, Not mistresses.
    There are some legal relations and other are illegal. Mankind, in west, is forgetting all lessons of good living. Then they have the audacity to blame Islam, about polygamy etc.

    The Christians should please beware and take notice. Whatever is going on in western countries in the name of religion and liberty, is against the Jesus Christ teaching.
    Can the Church come forward and do anything useful in a peaceful manner?

    We can see that the first lady is highly disturbed and the President also. They are not happy.
