AMMAN — HRH Prince Hassan, president of the Arab Thought Forum (ATF), on Monday called for launching an initiative to safeguard Jerusalem.

At the opening of a conference on Islamic and Christian waqfs in Jerusalem, Prince Hassan urged Arabs to support Palestinian steadfastness in the holy city, warning against violations committed by the Israeli occupation.

The two-day conference, organised by the ATF, addresses the legal, humanitarian, religious, demographic and economic conditions of Arabs in Jerusalem, as well as the preservation of Islamic and Christian holy sites in the city.
