UNITED NATIONS, Sept 26 (APP): The Secretary-General of Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), Prof. Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu, has commended the “positive role” of Pakistan in the Muslim world and the organization’s activities when he called on Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif on Thursday, officials said. At the outset, Ihsanoglu congratulated the prime minister on his elections victory and the deepening of the democratic process in Pakistan. The Secretary-General appreciated Pakistan’s presidency of the Standing Committee on Science and Technology (COMSTECH) and proposed the holding of World Science Summit at an early date. The Prime Minister stated that Pakistan attached high importance to the work of the OIC. He also commended the Secretary-General for his role during the last nine years in raising the profile of the OIC as the largest organization of the Muslim world.

I am sure Pakistan will be grateful to OIC for appreciating them. If the OIC Director General would not have mentioned it nobody would have noticed ‘the positive role of Pakistan in the Muslim world’. Who knows, may be as far as the Science topic is concerned he is even right. Unfortunately as far as takfiri ideology goes (declaring each other non-Muslim) that destroys all the good that they might have done in other fields.

I see has nothing to do with the Muslims of the world. It is a Club of the Elites in power. IF OIC is a representaive body of the Muslims of the world, Muslims of the world should have access to them. It has no secretariat, not even a clerk to entertain the complaint of the suffering Muslims through out the world. They meet when their is crisis in the Arab world and thereafter in deep slumber. When will it become a meaningful body to the Muslim Ummah.
We have just seen the so called “POSITIVE ROLE” played by Nawaz Sharif Government in Peshawar:
1- Bomb Blast in a Church last Sunday
2- Today’s Bomb Blast in famous Qisa Khawni Bazaar
Beside that Targeting killing in Karachi Pakistan
Who are behind all these God knows better
The OIC played the major role in declaring Ahmadis as non-Muslims, back in 1974, or not?? They are behind all the ills of the Muslim Ummah. Why could not Sec Gen. advise Nawaz Sharif about violation of human rights? Why could he not extend some help and assure Nawaz Sharif about help for amending bad (black) laws in Pakistan?
