A 13-member Governing Board for the Fomena T I Ahmadiyya Senior High School has been inaugurated with a call to it to make sure that there is transparency in the financial administration of the school.

The school, established in 1968 with 15 students, now has a student population of 1,255 made up of 668 boys and 587 girls.

The Headmistress, Madam Zainab Adam, described the school’s performance in the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) as commendable, scoring 100 per cent passes in the past three years running.

Mr Kofi Sarfo-Kantanka, Ashanti Regional Education Director, said it should thoroughly examine the financial audit reports to ensure that the right thing was done.

He, however, cautioned the Board not to exceed its mandate by usurping the authority of the headmistress.

It should do everything to remove suspicion and distrust between the members and the school head.
