Ras Al Khaimah: We all worry at one time or another about the odd traffic fine or two.
But one female driver in the UAE is staring down an almost unthinkable amount of traffic violations, which by last count have surpassed Dh1 million in fines that have yet to be heard by the courts.
According to court officials in Ras Al Khaimah, the 31-year-old driver, identified as R.N.A. has amassed a total of 1,380 traffic violations as registered by authorities across the country.
Authorities said the woman has spoken to them and confided that she is overtaken by an unknown medical condition once she climbs behind the steering wheel and that feels compelled to speed.
