GEORGE TOWN: The 1Malaysia Cyber Movement lodged a police report Saturday against two individuals who made statements which allegedly insulted Prophet Muhammad and the Royal Malaysia Police.
Its president, Mohamad Sharom Rahman, lodged the report with a committee member at the Bayan Baru Police Station at 3pm.
Mohamad Shahrom said the police report was lodged to urge the police and the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) to conduct a detailed investigation on the actions of the two individuals on Facebook.
Speaking to journalists after lodging the report, he said the statements of the two were provocative and could threaten national peace.
He urged the MCMC to use existing laws to take action against owners of social websites who carry out provocation, especially that pertaining to religion. – Bernama
What is wrong in letting Allah judge such cases?
The internet and social media is open to abuse and criticism of religion and the politicians. There is no shortage of the insult of Allah, use as a swear word by the Malays/Muslims themselves. Why is there a ban on the use of ‘Allah’ in Malaysia and not any other country?
There will be no shortage of depictions or insults of Mohammad in the coming years, and there will be no easy way to censor them. Islamic societies must come to terms with this.
Mr Melayu Bukan Islam. Swearing by using the name of Allah is limited for protecting oneself from harmful and hurtful things and proving the truth and innocent of oneself. Also it has to be the truth only, not making words, or things that are not true (fitna or lies). People nowadays especially muslims themselves, lack of knowledge and know-how about Islam and too arrogant to study and accept about Islam when the truth/light of Islam come over them. From what I know, malay in Malaysia, most of them were born in Islam. If the family didn’t educate their children the right way of life, the way of life in Islam, that’s why the words of swearing by using the name of Allah without knowing and understand the meaning of it, came from their mouth. Swearing that you (Mr melayu bukan Islam) stated, from what I understand are cursing and insulting others. Right? So,those who use Allah as a part of cursing/insulting are those who has no understandings and knowledge about Islam, those who are arrogant, disbelief about Islam, those who are self-sufficient, those who are not thinking, not read the Al-Quran and Hadith Rasulullah s.a.w., those who have hard/black heart as hard as rock.

I don’t really know if other country, for example in Japan here, Japanese referred God as Kamisama in general. But Allah, the only God is specially for Muslims. It is not wrong for other followers to utters the word Allah. From my readings and research, Muslims in Malaysia are mostly Malay and half of them maybe from other races. But Allah in the understandings of Malaysian as whole is known as the God of Muslims, which is true. So, if other religion want to use the word Allah, especially to be written and distributed anywhere, are wrong.
The basis of my statement are, one, it is to stop Christians catholic from manipulating the minds of Malay to accept Christian as their religion and left Islam (murtad/riddah). Secondly, it is to avoid those who lack of understanding about Islam and other religion, to make a conclusion that Islam is the same as other religion, thus, those who belief will find that if they follow any other religion, esp., catholic/christians, then it is the same, which is actually wrong. It is because most of Malaysians understand Bahasa Melayu. But Allah is not Malay words, it is Arabic words, and special for Muslims.
It is important for us to find out, do research, ask people, ask those who have more knowledge rather than making statement that would bring misunderstandings especially about Islam. Islam itself do not insult the other followers, but respect and take the good things and make correction and do the best in Islam and for the better Muslims. But Islam is the only religion that bring peace to your soul and life, here in this short life and hereafter after we die.
May Allah guide us the light of Islam.
