Too many immigrants in France, says ex-PM Fillon

By Joseph BAMAT

France’s former prime minister François Fillon said Thursday that there were too many immigrants in the country.

“France is currently unable to welcome, in decent conditions, all those who want to come and live here,” Fillon said. “We must therefore reduce the number of immigrants.”

Asked if there were already too many immigrants in the country in an interview with France 2 television, Fillon replied simply, “Yes.”

  1. Mr. Francois Fillon is one of the leaders of UMP party. He has a controversy of leadership of the party with Jean Cope. Party claims to be moderate, but for attracting right wing votes they go farther than the far right. In this effort, sometimes, Muslims are the scapegoat.
