  1. Jazakallah for this historic post. As long as Sahibzada Mirza Muzaffar Ahmad Sahib remained at the helms of the affairs of the state of Pakistan, particularly, his outstanding services as Deputy Chairman of the Planning Commission of Pakistan and also as the Federal Finance Secretary, the economy of Pakistan remained highly strong and stable as he had the required guts and stamina (courage) to resist all pressures/attempts to force the value reduction of Pkistani currency. It is a fact and truth that both wings of the united Pakistan had witnessed unprecedented economic prosperity and progress, as long as Mr. Ahmad remaind in his seat of authority. And when he retired in 1973, believe it that a dollar was equal to Rs 5/= and a British pound was priced at Rs 10/=. But after MM Ahmad’s retirement/departure in 1973, PM ZA Butto’s government under pressure, devalued Pak, currency upto 100 percent. From that day and date our economy went from worse to worst. Thanks for the historic currency note bearing the signatures of an Ahmadi ‘genius'(financial expert) in the person of M.M.Ahmad,the grand son of the Holy Founder of Jama’at Ahmadiyya, Hadhrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad of Qadian. Alhamdolillah.

  2. It is heart warming to see tribute like this paid to my father. Just a personal note, when we first left Pakistan on August 14th, 1972 the value of Pak. Rupee was 4 to a dollar. We stayed in London for 5 weeks on our way to Washington. When we arrived in Washington the value of Pak. Rupee was 10 to a dollar. the rest is history! ZMA
