RESPUBLIKA.ID – Thousands of Ahmadiyya Muslims gathered for the Jalsa Salana (Jalsa Salana)
annual gathering, held simultaneously in 23 regions across Indonesia on Saturday, December 6, 2025.
Jalsah Salanah literally means “meeting and sitting”, where participants take part in a series of activities such as religious lectures as well as social and national activities, with the aim of strengthening morals, fostering relationships, and encouraging benefits for the nation.
“Nationally, the committee recorded participation of approximately 24,000 people. Here, there were 2,200 participants,” said Yendra Budiana, spokesperson for the Indonesian Ahmadiyya Congregation, at the Mahmudah Grand Mosque in Cipondoh, Tangerang City.
Yendra said that the Jalsah Salanah was held open to the public. The event, he said, was attended by various elements of society, such as the Nahdlatul Ulama community, the ranks of the Tangerang PCNU, GP Ansor, as well as figures from various organizations and religions such as the General Chair of YLBHI Muhammad Isnur, Halili Hasan from the Setara Institute, Deputy Chair of the National Commission on Violence Against Women (Komnas Perempuan Dea), Prof. Najib Ahmad Burhani, and Dr. Reverend Jeki as the General Chair of the Communion of Churches in Indonesia.Find out more
“This Jalsa Salana shows that it is open to the public, open to anyone, not just exclusive to the Ahmadiyya Jamaat,” he said.
The 2025 Jalsa Salana was held to commemorate one century of the Ahmadiyya Community’s existence in Indonesia.
On the 100th anniversary, Yendra revealed that his group brought a message of peace by spreading the teachings of Islam, full of love, amidst social media content that is often filled with hatred and prejudice.
“On this 100th anniversary, we invite you to return to the essence of sincere love, transcending class, ethnicity, and interests,” he said.
