The Ahmadiyya Muslim Caliph Entrusts the Young Generation of Ahmadis in Indonesia to be National Leaders, Welcoming a Golden Indonesia

The appointment of Zaki Firdaus Syahid as the National Amir of the Indonesian Ahmadiyya Muslim Congregation for the 2025-2028 period marks a trust in the younger generation to lead, in line with the 100th anniversary of Ahmadiyya in the country and the vision of welcoming Golden Indonesia 2045.

NATIONAL INFO – The Caliph of Ahmadiyya Islam, Hadhrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad (aba), officially appointed Zaki Firdaus Syahid, as the National Amir of the Indonesian Ahmadiyya Muslim Community for the 2025–2028 period. This decision was conveyed through a letter dated August 20, 2025 and officially announced by the Executive Board of the Indonesian Ahmadiyya Community (PB JAI) on August 25, 2025 through letter Number 0170/SEKUM/VIII/2025 signed by the General Secretary, Dudung Abdul Latif. Zaki replaces Mirajudin Sahid, who has completed his term of service.

Zaki Firdaus Syahid, 45, is a graduate of Physics Engineering and a Master of Electrical Engineering from the Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB). Since his youth, he has been active in various services within the Indonesian Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, including being appointed Sadr Khuddamul Ahmadiyah Indonesia (National Chairman of Ahmadiyya Youth) at the age of 30. His extensive experience in various positions, including serving as Naib Amir Maal (National Deputy Amir for Finance), has become an important asset in carrying out the mandate of national leadership of the Ahmadiyya.

In his inaugural address, Zaki emphasized the message of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Caliph, as outlined in his letter of appointment. “The success of the Jama’at can only be achieved through humility, distancing oneself from ego, making true sacrifices, and making obedience to the Khilafat the primary foundation. Every success is not the result of human effort, but solely the gift of Allah Ta’ala .

As we approach the 100th anniversary of Ahmadiyya in Indonesia (1925–2025), Zaki emphasized the importance of practicing the teachings of the Caliph in order to gain the blessings of Allah SWT for the advancement of Islam, Ahmadiyya, and the Indonesian nation. He also quoted the message of the founder of the Ahmadiyya Community, Hadhrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad (peace be upon him), in his book Ajaranku (My Teachings): “If we belong to God, then know with absolute certainty that God will belong to us… God is the main pillar of all plans for the development of the Community, because God is the owner of this Community.”

By appointing a young generation as National Amir, the Indonesian Ahmadiyya Congregation affirms its optimism to play a more inclusive and contributive role in national and state life. Through its youthful spirit, the Ahmadiyya community consistently prioritizes the principles of unity, peace, and the empowerment of youth and women, with its ever-upheld motto: “Love For All, Hatred For None.” (*)
