TIMES JABAR, BANJAR – The Poros Sahabat Nusantara (POSNU) of Banjar City revealed indications of individuals seeking fortune by playing behind the Ahmadiyah issue recently.

This was conveyed by Muhlison as the Posnu mentor through his statement to the media crew, Tuesday (6/24/2025).

He suspected that the Ahmadiyah issue was deliberately blown up and brought to the surface to gain certain benefits, by utilizing community instruments and normative bases in launching its operations.

"If we look at the chronology, history and others until the sealing occurred, in our observations and studies, it seems that there are indeed individuals who are deliberately seeking fortune through issues that are indeed sensitive, and are considered to be able to smooth the way for the benefits obtained. These individuals usually, yes, always take advantage of groups in society who actually voice the truth of values," said Muhlison.

“However, sometimes unknowingly, existing community groups are carried away by the schemes of individuals who play subtly, because they also use the same value structures to gain sympathy and support,” he added. Muhlison explained that the use of community groups by individuals who play certain issues is common. Therefore, he warned the community to be vigilant and not to be reactionary so that later they would be easily confronted. He firmly stated that his party strongly condemned the actions of individuals who he considered cowardly, because they had borrowed a hand to try to destroy the harmony of the life of the Banjar City Community, thus reopening social wounds that had begun to heal due to similar events several dozen years ago.

Given the potential for social conflict caused by the Ahmadiyah issue, he asked the individual to immediately end his drama, considering that what he did was very counterproductive and very dangerous to the conduciveness of society.

"This incident often occurs. These individuals usually deliberately seek profit, whether material, position, influence, or self-image to fulfill their needs. This is what we must be aware of together. Don't let our society end up being pitted against each other and exploited by them." Muhlison added.

The former Head of PMII Banjar City reminded that this is very dangerous and could cause endless social conflict.

"Frankly, I appreciate the Banjar City Community who are mature in thinking and behaving so that they are not reactionary and over-responding. Once again, I remind you who are borrowing a hand, don't damage society with your actions!" Muhlison emphasized.

To narrow and close the gap for actions by individuals who sometimes use normative bases and community groups as a means of legitimacy, he suggested that the Mayor as the policy maker, immediately review and revise the existence of existing mayoral regulations or mayoral decrees and seek a formula that can be a joint solution.
