The election of Pope Leo XIV in the Conclave held on Thursday (7/5/2025), was greeted with congratulations, prayers and hopes from world leaders, both state leaders and religious leaders.

One of the religious leaders who gave congratulations, prayers and hopes was the supreme leader of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community throughout the world and the Fifth Caliph Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad.

"On behalf of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, I sincerely congratulate all members of the Roman Catholic Church on the election of Pope Leo XIV," said Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad in a press release received by DetikManado.com on Monday (12/5/2025).

Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad explained that currently humanity is going through a very critical and dangerous period in the history of mankind, when wars and violent conflicts continue to rage and shed the blood of innocent and helpless souls every day.

"Amid the threat of a Third World War, I pray that God Almighty grants the Pope the ability to be a voice for true peace and harmony in the world, and to defend the rights of all innocent human beings, regardless of their caste, creed, or skin color," he said.

As the Supreme Leader of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community throughout the world, Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad emphasized that his party is always ready to support and be involved in every effort and action for the sake of realizing true peace and security in the world, and to return humanity to the Creator. Harapan Pemimpin Tertinggi Komunitas Muslim Ahmadiyah Atas Terpilihnya Paus Leo XIV

Vatikan, DetikManado.com – Terpilihnya Paus Leo XIV dalam Konklaf yang berlangsung pada, Kamis (7/5/2025), disambut dengan ucapan, doa dan harapan dari para pemimpin dunia, baik pemimpin Negara maupun pemimpin agama.

Salah satu pemimpin agama yang memberikan ucapan selamat, doa, dan harapan adalah pemimpin tertinggi Komunitas Muslim Ahmadiyah di seluruh Dunia dan Khalifah Kelima Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad.

“Atas nama Komunitas Muslim Ahmadiyah, saya dengan tulus mengucapkan selamat kepada seluruh anggota Gereja Katolik Roma atas terpilihnya Paus Leo XIV,” ujar Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad dalam siaran pers yang diterima DetikManado.com pada, Senin (12/5/2025).

Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad memaparkan, saat ini umat manusia sedang melewati masa yang sangat genting dan penuh bahaya dalam sejarah umat manusia, ketika perang dan konflik kekerasan terus berkecamuk dan menumpahkan darah jiwa-jiwa tak berdosa dan tak berdaya setiap harinya.

“Di tengah ancaman terjadinya Perang Dunia Ketiga, saya berdoa semoga Tuhan Yang Maha Kuasa menganugerahkan kepada Paus kemampuan untuk menjadi suara bagi perdamaian dan harmoni sejati di dunia, serta membela hak semua manusia yang tak bersalah, tanpa memandang kasta, keyakinan, atau warna kulit mereka,” tuturnya.

Sebagai Pemimpin Tertinggi Komunitas Muslim Ahmadiyah di seluruh dunia, Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad menegaskan bahwa, pihaknya senantiasa siap mendukung dan terlibat dalam setiap upaya serta tindakan demi terwujudnya perdamaian dan keamanan sejati di dunia, dan demi mengembalikan umat manusia kepada Sang Pencipta.
