BOGOR – The Indonesian Ushuluddin Student Forum (Formadina) held Live in Ahmadiyah which took place at the Headquarters of the Indonesian Ahmadiyah Congregation (JAI), Bogor, West Java, on Monday-Wednesday, February 17-19, 2025. The event with the theme “Learning Closer with Ahmadiyah” was attended by 50 participants from various universities in Indonesia.

The Live in Ahmadiyah activity is a form of Formadina’s commitment to fostering tolerance values in society. Formadina’s National President, Kirwan, said that this activity is Formadina’s step to become a laboratory of tolerance.

“This activity was carried out as a form of our commitment in an effort to foster values of tolerance among students. Alhamdulillah, this activity received extraordinary attention from students. More than that, we want Formadina to become a student organization that can be used as a reference in fostering an attitude of tolerance,” said Kirwan at the Ahmadiyah Headquarters, Bogor, Wednesday (2/19/2025).

In addition, the alumnus of UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta considered that Ahmadiyah as a religious community is important to visit, considering that Ahmadiyah is often the target of discrimination and persecution. He emphasized that society must be increasingly aware of the importance of tolerance and accepting differences, as guaranteed by law.

“We certainly regret the attitude of some groups in society who discriminate against the Ahmadiyah community. We want to remind you that differences in our country are inevitable. Therefore, we must foster a more tolerant attitude in our daily lives,” he added.

As a student organization committed to spreading the values of moderation, the Indonesian Ushuluddin Student Forum promises to side with those who experience discrimination. Formadina will also conduct studies to increase the awareness of Ushuluddin students to become tolerant and peace-loving individuals.

“Formadina, in accordance with the basic idea of its formation, will always be on the side of those who are discriminated against. We are committed to instilling awareness in Ushuluddin students so that they can become part of a tolerant and peace-loving society, so that discriminatory practices can be eliminated in our beloved country,” Kirwan concluded.

The presence of the Indonesian Ushuluddin Student Forum at the Ahmadiyah Headquarters was welcomed by the leadership of the organization. The National Amir of the Indonesian Ahmadiyah Congregation expressed his gratitude for the visit and expressed his readiness to be a partner for any organization in efforts to create peace in Indonesia.

“We would like to thank our friends at Formadina who have come and carried out activities at our place. We are very open to any group or organization. We are also willing if there are organizations or institutions that want to learn and get to know us better, so that together we can create peace and tolerance in Indonesia,” he said.
